Lots of fun on the lake.
A friend mentioned Waboba in passing before my camping trip up to the lake so I bought 2 before we left to help keep us entertained. Went with a large group in their late 20's/early 30's and these are definitely a lot of fun. You need a fair amount of space to make the most of them (preferably free of strangers). These things really take off if you've got a decent arm, and can be very unpredictable. It adds to the fun, but also makes hitting an unsuspecting person a sure thing. If you're good at skipping stones on the water, this will come naturally to you, the motion needed is the same. Rather small, about the size of a tennis ball, and I also purchased the Extreme, which is even smaller that this one. They have a heavier weight though, with a dense solid feel. Reminiscent of old stress balls covered in spandex. The separate glove they offer would be fun, but unnecessary. They float, but aren't the brightest, so you have to keep your eye on them. I could see it being easy to lose one in the ocean with a bad toss.

Lots of (exhausting) Fun!
I bought this toy a few weeks ago to use on the beach in South Florida. It really is a lot of fun. When you watch it bounce the first time, its unlike anything you have ever played with before. It's action is so unique it even draws a small crowd. I do have one warning though...If you are going to use it on the ocean, be prepared to be exhausted. In order to get it to bounce, you have to throw it with considerable speed. Combine that speed with a little bit of surf and you have a ball that bounces unpredictably. Half your playing time consists of chasing it down since it bounced over your head and is now 20 yards behind you. That being said, it still makes for a great time. I can't wait to have a big group of people out there playing with it since I think that will cut down on the "retrieval" time. (It's a shame I have to choose a durability rating even though I haven't owned it long enough to test its durability. I'll update it in the future if I have any problems)

So Much Vacation Fun
Love this ball. This is my fourth one as my kids always lose them at the pool or beach! But, these are great. Perfect for the water! I know they are pricy but we’ll worth it. Float, skip, durable!

bouncing on the water
When we first played with it, it didn't really bounce on the water, but then we found it you throw it like skipping stones--it did!! Great fun with 10 year old grandson. We played with it on a river beach and you could keep track of it.

Fantastic water toy!
There are three Waboba surf balls that are under the size of a tennis ball. This is the largest. The orange and grey one is in the middle, then the "surf" which is pink and blue is the smallest. I have all three. So far as I can tell they're all made of the same materials, and hold up equally well. They're remarkably novel, and quite fun to play with, so I recommend them highly. Being the largest of the three, this is aimed more for adults adults with decent arm strength to play with. The pro is noticeably heftier... imagine throwing an apricot vs throwing an apple - the pro is the apple, and suitable for anyone who would be comfortable throwing a baseball a decent distance, while the "surf" is the apricot, and more suitable for children. For the record, the "surf" is great fun for adults too.

Quite Possibly the Best Water Toy, Ever
The Waboba is one of the best toys I've ever owned.Sure, it took me about a year before I finally got to use it, but when I finally did get to whip it out it was an instant hit.I brought it to a small pool at my friend's apartment complex and we just skipped it back and forth across the pool (while standing outside of the pool itself). Now, this obviously isn't the best way to use it considering we weren't even in the water...but we still had loads of fun. In fact, after that day 2 of my friends bought one immediately. It got a bit roughed up over time because we ended up unintentionally skipping it against concrete poolsides and intentionally skipping it against stucco walls (made up an awesome game that was like handball), but it only has a small hole in the fabric and a bunch of pils. The ball itself still skips beautifully as intended. Finally got to try it at the beach this last weekend and it was the most fun I've had with it yet. Everybody who walked by wanted to know what it was, and since we had plenty of room to throw we really started to get the hang of it.An overhand throw will often result in a faster skip that is more difficult to catch. A sidehand type throw will give it more of a hop, but less velocity. It takes a bit of practice, but once you get the hang of it you will have a lot of fun.

Good ball but check size before buy
Just got this and the overall feel is great. It bounces outside of the pool and inside. There are a few issues for me.1. My fault I didn't check the actual size and thought I saw it say 8 inches. So when i get it and not even bigger than a baseball it was a huge letdown. Was searching for basketballs for pool when came across this hence why I bought it....Now need to buy a actual bigger ball.2. It feels sort of heavy. So I can see one of the younger kids hurting each other with it.

One of the best water toys ever
Hours of Great fun for hanging out in the water all day. Shallow water in particular because its best to have some footing for throwing and catching. Have used the whole summer and still not run out of fun. Probably won't even, just a classic tailgate-like hanging out game.Works in both ocean and lake water, and heck river water might even work but I haven't tried it. Be careful in the pool though, this ball bounces far. Maybe good for throwing between one person in pool and one person out of the pool. Or even try the Waboba pool ball (supposed lesser bounce), but I haven't tried it.FYI:The Pro Waboba (smaller size) has better control so it is good for controlled use / playing the actual waboba game / trying to do tricks. The Regular Waboba (larger size) bounces more randomly so it can be more fun for just throwing back and forth / hanging out.Hope you enjoy it too!

best dog ball ever
My pupper loves this balls, they are puppy proof and don't leak, bought a 3 pack and they last my puppy about 3 weeks each, he is teething so I guess they have a longer regular life.

Fun to play with! Must buy for pool
This ball does what it advertises, it bounces on water. Lot of fun in the pool or on the beach with some friends. Problems: The packaging in which the ball arrived, could have been better.

Fun ball to skim on water.
Pretty much as described. Good size for throwing and skims well on water. Has been a fun toy in river.
