Ino Seimine K4-627 Kutani Ware Tea Cup

This Japanese teacup makes me so happy. I just love drinking my green tea from this whimsical and beautiful vessel. It perfectly holds 6 ozs. The painted bunnies are adorable and the ceramic doesn't get too hot. It's a real delight to use. This is a highly giftable item as well, any tea drinker would love to have this in their teacup collection.

I got this japanese teacup for a 100ml sized kyusu. Its a bit small versus an american sized mug but it perfectly fits a single serving of green tea per brew in the kyusu which is the intended purpose. Brewing more green tea per teapot to equal a larger amount (large mug size) would mean youd have so much tea leftover you wouldn't be able to drink it (about 4 steeps of sencha tea normally, but having more per cup would mean about 8 cups in total)As for the build quality and color its definitely different than the picture, but thats a good thing since its handpainted. Every cup is different. I do wish the colors were more watercolor looking like the photo but its not a big deal. The amount of paint used for the rabbits give a tactile feel to the painting on the cup which is nice. The grass is a bit toned down in color but the fact that the shade of green matches the tea being used in the cup in my case makes me appreciate it that much more. Overall i would recommend this cup as well as other cups made by this brand as they all seem to be beautiful and well made

This is a giftable decorative tea set sturdy enough for every day use, but I would strongly suggest hand wash only. I have not put mine in the dishwasher as I am scared it might break which would be sad because it is impossible to find such cute designs again. I love the bunny scene and the craftmanship is amazing. I have friends who do pottery and seeing works of art like this makes me want to try it, too. I will buy from this brand in the future because the items arrived in perfect condition, on time, and the designs are excellent.

The picture on the listing of this cup shows a very green meadow/hill, but some reviews said their cup didn't have much green. I was hesitant to take a chance on buying it for that reason, and because I didn't see any reviewer images. I'm providing images so others can see what I received. The green is definitely present, but not as vivid as advertised. I'm still very pleased with this little cup, and will probably purchase more in the future. Very sturdy pottery with a smooth finish and sweet design. I hope the photos I provided help someone with their decision of whether or not to take a chance on this cup.

I had this cup previously and loved it. Unfortunately, I dropped it from a height and it cracked, although not completely through. I drink my tea very hot, and noticed the crack was extending. I panicked at the thought one day the cup will not be usable, so I ordered another one to replace it.The second one is just as wonderful as my first one. It is pretty to look at, well=constructed, and feels good when you hold it. My only wish is that it was slightly larger to hold just another 2 oz, but as I said, I love it and am very pleased it is still being sold.

A little smaller than I expected, but the design and the color make up for that. I will be using this beautiful teacup every morning. It's definitely a motivator.

This is a sweet little tea cup. It's definitely made in Japan, which is hard to find!
