When I think of a 16 oz bowl, I think oh thats 2 cups, that's the perfect size......NO, that would be 2 cups-TO THE BRIM- you can only put 1 1/4 cups in there otherwise you will be spilling everywhere, so...bowl of cereal.....no, soup no, chili no - unless you only want a small 1 cup serving.As for the design, it looks nice, but it feels really flimsy.Side by side comparison with a non insulated metal bowl- yeah it does work. I filled two "cereal" bowls with boiling water and though it did get warm, it did NOT get hot, except at the rim - (another reason you shouldn't fill it that full). Unlike the non insulated bowl which got really hot all over and under....I'm only giving it 4 stars because the description says"Multipurpose Stainless Steel Bowls for Ice Cream, Cereal, Rice, Soup, Noodles, Salad, Kids Snacks, Prep Bowl for Healthy Meals"It's a great size for ice cream, kids snack, .....don't know why you'd want an insulated bowl for prepping...but yeah.....Not so good for cereal or soup - size wise - unless giving a small serving to a child. So 4 out of 5 cuz I expected a cereal bowl without as many spills, and for it to be insulated up the whole side of the bowl. One more thing of note, the rim is a little sharp, not so much that you would cut yourself holding them, but sharp enough where It gives me pause to use it for a small child. Our other metal bowls are rolled at the top-no sharp edges.

I'll make it brief. These bowls are terrible. They're lightweight, but not in a good way. They feel cheap and they are cheap. After about a week of use, they started to fill with water on the inside of the double wall. I'm not even sure how it's possible, my guess is condensation buildup within it bowl. At any rate, shop around and find a different bowl.

I got these to replace plastic bowls for my kids. They mainly eat cereal out of them, but since they're stainless steel and not plastic, I feel safe giving them hot foots in them as well. They are VERY durable. My 18 month old throws them on the floor all the time when he's done eating and they hardly even show scratches and I haven't seen any dents in them like I've seen with other stainless steel products.After reading several reviews about how small these bowls were, I measured the plastic bowls I had to see how many ounces of water they held. Then I bought the 20 ounce bowls since they most closely matched the plastic bowls I wanted to replace. So the bowls aren't too small for us since they are practically the same size. But it's kind of confusing when you order because although I chose "20 ounce" size, it still said "small" next to it, just like the 16 ounce said. So don't judge the size by the word small or medium, but by how many ounces you want it to hold.They are SUPER easy to clean. The dried bits of cereal and granola wipe off pretty quickly with just some hot water and a sponge. I've also used the dishwasher to clean them and they've come out spotless.They stack perfectly. There isn't any precarious, slanted bowls. They fit into each other so the stack reaches straight up. It makes storing them easy and stacking them fun for my toddler.Looking into the bowl, it's a bit awkward because the bowl looks shallower than it is due to the mirror effect, but once something is in the bowl you don't notice it anymore.They are lightweight, too. So my 8, 5, and 1 year old are all able to lift and carry them easily.I'd order them again if I needed more bowls. Just make sure to measure the amount you want the bowl to hold before ordering so you don't get too small of a size.

These are the most beautiful metal bowls we could find, and the size and shape are just right. The problem is that it is double layered and water is now trapped between the layers. This happened almost immediately after we purchased them. You can feel and hear the water sloshing around when you shake them. We are using them well for now, but at some point we’re going to have to throw them out because we are nervous about more water getting trapped and the possibility of mold

These bowls are just what we needed to replace our small plastic bowls from Ikea. We are trying to make small changes towards a healthier lifestyle, including thinking about the chemicals and products in our home. As part of that process, we wanted to replace the dishes that our kids were using on a daily basis. These bowls are comparable in size to those little rainbow plastic ones, and they do a great job of keeping hot things hot and cold things cold. I used one for steamed rice, and it stayed hot so much longer than it would have in a regular ceramic bowl (or in one of the plastic ones). These bowls are the perfect size for kids for cereal, ice cream, soup, snacks, or just about anything. It's a little tough to get everything out with an adult-sized fork, but that's true of any bowl. We've run them through the dishwasher (in the top rack) with no issues.

These bowls are the bomb, truly. Lightweight, sturdy, holds hot or cold food without transfer to your hands, easy to clean. Great bowls and good value. The only criticism we have is that the bowls need to come in sets of 6 and 8. Rarely does one need only 5 bowls! We had to purchase a two pack of different smaller bowls to have enough for our camping group.

If you like your food hot or cold these double walled stainless steel bowls are for you. Our family love ice cream and these bowls keep the ice cream super cold. The bowls have an A+ stainless steel finish and they were individually separated with packing material to protect the finish. The 16 oz bowl size easily holds up to two full scoops of ice cream.

I purchased these bowls to replace unsafe plastic bowls we were using for our kid's food and snacks. These bowls are great and are exactly what I was looking for. Bonus that my son loves them too!
