The Library Gingerbread Man Hardcover – Picture Book, January 1, 2010

I gave this book to my sister's granddaughter, Olivia, for her 4th birthday. I've taken a sincere liking to gingerbread men and did not want the traditional story with its sad ending. Fortunately, The Library Gingerbread Man is just the ticket with its delightful illustrations and positive ending. Sadly it's out of print so I had to purchase it used.

What a cute story that is a variation of the classic GingerBread Man! I love reading these books around Christmas, with my First Graders comparing and contrasting the different versions of this wonderful story. I am very happy with the product and the seller.

This book was purchased to go along with my collection of gingerbread books. A great read-aloud. The children gave it a "thumbs-up."

This is not my favorite gingerbread man story but I purchased it for a friend who is a librarian. It is good for a gingerbread story collection.

My kindergarteners enjoyed this book, but I had to do some explaining because they did not know about the Dewey Decimal System. I think this book would be great for Second Graders when they learn about this.

A fun book with a wonderful twist and a plug for all our hardworking teacher librarians! Engaging and encourages wondering. I can see additional pages written by students, showing off their knowledge of the Dewy Decimal System! Bravo!

Throughout the year in my kindergarten class we read many versions of the Gingerbread Man. This is fun one that I highly recommend. Next year I will have the librarian read it to the children when we search for our run away Gingerbread Man.
