she is a bit pushy for me,,,,
The story is very good But she skims over the details so much. Somehow you don’t feel emotionally connected to the story but somehow you also want more so you keep reading, I’m hooked on this series.

The Art of Seduction at its Best
In the fourth installment of the beloved Malory family saga, The Magic of You is the story of Amy Malory, a strong-willed beautiful lady that has reached marriageable age. And she sets her sights on a dashing , yet unsuitable straight-laced sea captain that almost had her uncle hung for piracy.Warren Anderson is the bitter older brother of Georgie (married to once pirate James Malory). He is tormented by an unfaithful past lover and there for has shut his heart off from love and marriage. But Amy's brazen advances towards Warren has his heart doing flip flops . Can Amy stay strong and continue her high-spirited chase of the man who rejects her? Will Warrens heart soften towards the enchanting minx who stirs feelings that he never experienced.Applause is needed for Amy's strong-willed character and her seduction techniques. She went after Warren as any Malory male would. She was confident in her self, which sadly I don't see enough in historical romances. Warren was scared to let anyone get close he was hard to get along with . Which made Amy try all the more harder to win his heart .And in the end you see two people that are the perfect match for each other. And an added bonus is that you get to revisit James and Anthony Malory the two most notorious rakes now reformed and happily married to the women they set out to seduce.Wonderful Book I enjoyed the storyline and the hard to get Warren who finally gives in to his beautiful minx. The Magic of You is worth the time and you will laugh out loud on the antics of the `uncles'

My Second Favorite of the Malory Series
THE MAGIC OF YOU is the fourth book in the Malory Family Series. It is the story of Warren Anderson, brother of the heroine in GENTLE ROGUE. Warren is an American captain who is bitter because of a woman who betrayed him. The only woman Warren trusts and loves is his sister. Amy Malory meets Warren when her uncle marries Warren's sister. Amy immediately is attracted to Warren and puts her mind to getting him. Amy chases Warren shamelessly. She is determined to break through Warren's bitterness and find the loving man inside.I love this story. Amy is so determined and strong. She knows what she wants and is determined that she and Warren will be happy together. I especially enjoy how Amy confounds the expectations of her family. Warren resists Amy for a long time but becomes addicted to her open nature and falls in love with her despite himself.I like the brooding hero and Warren deserves his downfall. I also really love that Lindsey continues to incorporate the other family members of the Malory clan. There are so many wonderful scenes with James and George from GENTLE ROGUE.I enjoy Lindsey because her books are bold and passionate. This book is a perfect example.

How to tame a savage barbarian...
This is the story of Amy and Warren Anderson, the second of the Malory/Anderson marriages. I am going to "spoil" part of the plot by saying that the only thing that makes this even readable to me is that Amy has inherited a special gift in addition to her black hair/colbalt blue eyes that are credited to her female ancestor eluded to in earlier works. In addition to the fact that is this about a young couple-Amy is barely out of the schoolroom- I find nothing in the least attractive about a man who is violent, angry at all women, disrespects all women and cannot for the life of me figure out why any woman would pursue a man who clearly makes it know that he doesn't want anything to do with her other than to use her as a sperm depository. Its the fact that Amy is able to "feel" beyond the norm, has minor premonition abilities and always win any wager she makes that makes her actions credible. She deliberately sets out to "woo" Warren, ultimately using the old standby of getting caught in his bed. How she ends up there and the interaction between the hero and heroine create the basis for the story. There is little family involvement although one of the saving graces is, of course, that James absolutely refuses to have another Anderson in the family and Jeremy is one of her closest confidants. For younger readers this is a good book, but except that it is a Johanna Linsey work and its contents are referenced in later works, I don't think I would like it as well as I did.

Loved it
The Magic of You is the fourth book in the Malory-Anderson Families series and we are back in this amazing world with it’s amazing characters. I just had so much fun getting to reenter this great world. I was just captivated by the story and its wonderful characters and I just didn’t want it to end. This story just had my emotions all over the place and I just didn’t want it to end. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Can’t fight Amy!
Amy is a beautiful lady that knows what she wants and goes for it. She knew the minute she saw him that he was the one for her. She didn't hold anything back as she did her best to seduce him.He was dazzled by her beautiful but his heart was closed to love. He wanted nothing to do with love and marriage. Amy was always on him mind and nothing he did change that.I absolutely loved this story of love and finding love again. Sometimes you have to fight for what you want and Amy fought and won!

Super Johanna
Again as all other comments about Johanna's books. I came across her by accident really. A Rogue of my Own was the 1st book I read and I have never looked back. Keep up the wonderful work.

Another winner
Refreshing to see a woman throwing herself at a man without taking her clothes off! I like the aspect of martial arts thrown in to flounder James Malory

Historical romance at its best
Started reading these books over thirty years ago & not realising so many more have been written since. I'm loving catching up with all the old characters & enjoying their romantic adventures.
