Flimsy and not very bright. Don't buy these with the intention of providing usable light. Picture a single christmas light in each one of them. However, if all you want is something that looks good during the day and brakes up the darkness during the night, these work just fine. They don't need to be that robust when they cap a fence post. Nothing interacts with them. I use them in Alaska and winters don't provide enough charging time to keep them lit. Summers it doesn't get dark at all, so the lights don't benefit me. Really only benefit from these a couple months of the year during the shoulder seasons.

I've bought this light through Zulily but unable to find when I needed a replacement. I was happy to find them on Amazon since they last long and are well worth the money. My last one, on my farm post, lasted at least a year and the shine is quite nice. I'll buy more when the time comes.

The prime packaging was great as normal, except the actual product was cheap and broken upon arrival. The little clear plastic tube that the light fits into has 2 little tabs to hold it in place and one of the two was gone, so the plastic would rattle. I figured since it is a stationary piece, i would set it up and see if it would work for lighting my walk way in my side yard. It has terrible light, even with good sun intake throughout the day. I have those little dollar store solar lights and they produce more light than this product did, so i figured i could find better and returned it. There is no reflector to enhance the light, which is pretty standard for solar lights. The only reason i gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is because it was a nice standard black look, poor quality though, so i am on the lookout for a similar but superior product.Thanks for reading, this is the first review i have written for a product because of dissatisfaction.

These lights arrived on time..great job amazon.After ready many reviews I ordered the 1000 mAh batteries suggested by many. I installed the new batteries and installed the lights on my fence posts...They had most of the day to charge and when darkness came the lights came on. The next morning around 5 am the lights were still on and have worked flawlessly or a week now...Staying on for 8 hours or more...

Have had these for some weeks; so far, so good. Very white light - our preference would be a softer, more yellow light. But these look stylish on the 4x4 posts of our back yard bridge and have reliably come on at dusk every night - we don't stay up to see how long they stay on ;) They don't light up the back yard, but that isn't what we wanted. Great accent lighting while providing safety if we need to use the bridge after dark.

Have had one for two years and it has held up well, even in snowy New England! Happy with the brightness. My only complaint is that the charge won't last through the night in the winter, but I am not that any solar light would...

Works Great But , we have had a very dark winter so far and I don't think the batteries have had a good charge. Waiting to see what happens during the strong long summer sunny days ! ! !

I ordered 9 of these and all worked perfectly out of the box. They fit my 4" posts a little snug so be careful when installing them or you may break one. I'm in the mid west so I will probably take the top pieces that contain the batteries and LEDs off and store them indoors when winter hits.Installed them 3 months ago and so far so good.

While most reviews stammer on how these are not bright, are correct. If you're not looking to light up your fence, deck railings, garden, driveway, or whatever like the sun, then buy these. If you're looking for extreme light.. Go buy a street pole and light up your area. They do the trick, they are a nice accent piece. Solar based, with rechargeable batteries. They put off a nice cool white colour tone, and they look way better compared to wood end caps for deck railings. Plus, they are cheaper too. Comes with a stake you can attach to drive into your garden if you want, comes with two robertson screws, but, has mounting provisions inside the lamp housing, so if you're tight against something, you can still firmly mount it. I would buy this again for sure.

This product came easy to assemble, has batteries to provide light if there is no sun for the solar power. So far they have lit up every night, and it has been raining. Great product for the price

Works great out of the box. I just hope these will not discolour too rapidly. The ones I had before (identical) became matte black after just two summers and the solar panel became white and didn't let the light shine through for charging. A full day of sunlight would just give two to three hours of light. But so far these are looking very good and working just fine. I can get a good six hours of light from a full day's charge.

They do look nice but the brightness could be improved .

Bought 2 of these for posts and they look great...Just wanted some lighting effect around the deck. Very happy.REVISED - 6 months in and now they don't work...DO NOT BUY, they don't last !!! could've gotten them at the dollar store, probably would have lasted longer...really !!!!
