I prefer 2 packages of these insulators. One bag was good and the thread nut to insulator works well. The second bag.. not so much as I needed pliers to run the nut up the thread. I’m using these for temporary fencing well camping in the backcountry and will share my experiences with black bear and grizzly bears. Last year I had a black bear hang around my camp several days and got to friendly with my presences and would sit and watch me have coffee in the morning! This year I will be taking others with me and I just want the extra caution at night and when I hike away from camp, they stay out. So the pack that is to hard to turn on the nut I’m using with Velcro straps to place the insulators on trees and the good pack for stakes.I also wish they made the same insulators that would except ploy ribbon. If they do, I could not find them on amazon at the time.

No nails a plus for quick fence setup.

The isolators do the job they are supposed to, but screwing is kind of difficult to torque by hand so that it won’t turn when there is tension in the cable. But good enough to buy without hesitation.
