Medicine Man

Saw this movie many years ago and when I saw it for sale on Amazon Movies, I just had to watch it again. My husband had never seen it and he was glued to the TV. The music/sound affects throughout this show are not annoying (like most movies now are) but instead carry you through in a pleasant way. This is well made, you have empathy for the people Sean Connery is living with, you care for the families, you see the ignorance of man to kill their hope for a cancer cure just to tear down the jungle to build condos. It's a very moving film and it runs the gammit of funny and thought-provoking. I will enjoy watching this again!!

I love Sean Connery movies and this is one of my favorites. Not easy to find older movies.

Although he never had that "appeal" to me when he was Bond, James Bond, he certainly held my interest as he got older!

Sean Connery as Campbell, and Lorraine Bracco were the perfect duo of lead actors for this adventure in a Tropical Rain Forest. As an aggressive, unorthodox scientist hot on a discovery in research for a cure against cancer, Campbell is in a race for time as the scenery is burnt for a road by a construction crew. There are episodes that are similar to real incidents in which native tribes are displaced by modern expansion. Very entertaining, action packed with spectacular scenery and worthy of a 5 good star rating.
