Nice bag, but not what I hoped for
If what you are looking for is a really nice waist bag you will probably be delighted. The quality of material and workmanship is WAY above any other waist bag I have ever seen. And there are some especially nice features. Hence the 4- star rating. However, the design (in my opinion) is flawed, or I would have given it 5 stars. At the moment I am still using it as I continue to search for a better one, which could take a while (reason I didn't return the second one I purchased).However, I was so disappointed because I use my waist bag as a purse, which means I want to be able to throw it over my shoulder, and that doesn't work well with the design of this bag, which is such that the contents almost make the bag feel off kilter, and makes me feel like I'm going to fall? In addition, there is a (flap?) on each side attached (sort of) to the belt. In other words, it can't really be removed, but isn't completely attached, either--making it look like it is about to take flight. Also, the belt hooks on the left side, which is especially awkward for a right-handed person.In summary, if what you are looking for is a hiking bag or travel bag, I doubt you will find a better one. The workmanship for this bag is superior. But if you are looking for an every-day bag, the design flaws might make you wish you had looked some more.The bag I used to use is no longer made, so I guess my search continues.

Very handy, very convenient bag.
Great bag! Small but mighty! Fits a lot into its compartments. I'm impressed. I bought mine because I wanted to be able to have my hands free when I go to full-day dance events. It gets cumbersome having a backpack and constantly needing to find a place to hide it so as not to risk it getting lost or stolen. This bag allows me to have my belongings close at all times. The little shoulder strap it comes with is also pretty handy. Right behind the bag is a little slit that I keep a couple reusable shopping bags in, in case I need to shop for anything last minute. It also has two bottle holders, you could either place two bottles or do like I do. I use one side to store my Brita Bottle and the other side to hold a small container of snacks (oats, trail mix, etc). Also had no issue fitting it around my waist and I'm not exactly petite. Didn't really need to adjust it much from its default setting. The padding makes this bag wearable for a full day. The material is good as well. I don't get the sense that this bag is going to tear or rip open or come apart any time soon. I would love to buy the pink one as well, but it would seem they don't have that color in stock in the size I want. Might get it in the smaller size for my daughter though since we tend to take long excursions and I'm sure she could use it to store her cash, Nintendo DS, and whatever else she wants in it.Anyway, I recommend this bag to anyone who needs something sizeable yet compact at the same time.

Bag worked for 75% of what I wanted to use it for.
Pros:Excellent customer service, inquired if I had questions, or needed anything.Bag is well made, seems durable, roomy enough to hold the basics that I want to take on a day hike.Multiple compartments able to easily sort out my items so they can be accessed without looking rather easilySits nicely around hips didn't feel like it was going to slip down, and I don't exactly have an ample lower body that would help keep something from sliding down.Cons - These are mostly just in regards to preferenceWhile the water bottle holders are large enough to hold my standard 32oz Nalgenes, it's too tight of a hold to be able to easily take them out and put them back for on the go hydration. Size of the bottle holders was the main reason I purchased the pack so this was disappointing.The buckle ends up being at my side instead of in the middle of my waist not a huge issue just a little awkward as I get used to it, since most anything else I have like that meets in the middle.All in all a nice pack, and a great addition to my day hikes, easily carries a handful of items for me, water bottles, snacks and a collapsible bowl and snack for the dog.
