Unfortunately, one of the chimneys was cracked upon delivery, although the packaging was substantial. I ordered thick glass chimneys from another seller (Lehman's), shown here. This is the second of these lamps I have purchased recently. Needed during Christmas weekend storm outage. Now have, may never need. But good to have non the less. These are really nicely made. And look good just sitting on the mantel. After filling, the top is a little fiddely to replace. Good buy.

Provided steady, non-smoking flame that provided enough light to do things in the room and move about safely. Even used on the counter to read instructions for something else. You can move it when lit, but never recommended under normal blackout situations.

Every household should have backup lighting at hand for times when the electricity goes out. These lamps are simple, reliable, and give more light than a three-arm candelabra. The metal parts are a bit flimsy, but that shouldn't be a problem if they're not subjected to rough handling. Good value for the money.

The first time I tried to fill lamp it cracked in my hands. The glass used is super fragile. Ouch.

The metal is very thin and is clearly quite cheap. The chimney doesn't quite sit properly on the base because the metal isn't straight and the tines are crooked (though you can carefully bend them somewhat into place). The chimney glass is also very thin, I suspect it wouldn't take much to break it.That said, the product does work as intended and overall isn't bad. It's very affordable (you do get what you pay for).
