If you're like anb you don't understand why trash cans all of a sudden need to be " smart" and expensive then this is what you are looking for. Its the size you are thinking about but are unsure of. It is perfect for the 13 gallon bags.Lid fits tight but won't keep a determined dog out. The lid release is not a foot pedal its on the lid.Good simple kitchen trash can

Good can bad lid
The can itself is good and durable. The lid is not durable. Been through 2 already from the latch breaking. This purchase I barely touch the latch to open it and it broke.
