They’re okay
Going to order this for the ninth time. The amount of times ordering this should show you how these boots are. It does the job, it just keeps making holes.

A few secrets for keeping these on....
My dog stepped on a bee last week, and went into anaphylactic shock. She was in the ER for 27 hours so now she has to wear something to protect her feet, as we live in Texas and bees are almost always around.Like others, I had a hard time with these not slipping off her feet and I didn't want to put the Velcro on so tight that her feet swelled. Here are some things that I have found to work to keep them on.1. Stitch the velcro to the bootie.2. Vet wrap! Also called Self Adhesive Cohesive Bandage or Coban. It's what they use to hold the cotton in place on humans after they take blood at your elbow. This has really been key to keeping the booties on. I simply wrap it on her legs at about the location where the velcro wraps, put the booties on over it and they don't slip! You don't have to wrap it on tight, just wrap a few times at the location where you fasten the velcro and it works. My dog is small, so I simply sawed the roll of 2 inch wrap in half so I had two 1-inch rolls. That may seem like a lot of work for your dog to wear booties, but if you are in a situation like mine where your dogs feet need to be protected, it's worth the time. I leave the vet wrap on between walks, and take it off when we are done walking for the day. The key to that is to not make it too tight on their legs, and use a few layers so there is a bit of bulk. There is some wear where the sock meets the rubber part due to her feet pushing though when the booties slid down (before I used the wrap) but I stretched the areas and put some small bits of duct tape on the spots (inside and outside so it doesn't stick to her or anything else). Use small bits because if you use large pieces the sock won't stretch. At first she didn't like wearing the booties, but now she is used to it.

Would be good if not too cold
My dog can't tolerate the booties that are more like shoes with soles. She took a bit to get used to walking in these, but did adjust. I thought they were going to be perfect to protect her from the cold here in Minnesota. Unfortunately, we didn't get very far before the plastic "coating" on the bottom froze and turned hard. She wouldn't walk then. I think it was uncomfortable. It actually sounded different/hard. This was on a -20F with wind chill -30s. So if you are somewhere not that cold, these might work well for you. Be aware that the velcro straps that you use to keep them on are not attached. They are very easy to drop and lose.

Not really for a cat...
I was mainly just using them to prevent scratching....but he just flung them off.. I think these, if you bought them for a cat, would only be helpful during maybe a bath or grooming.

Cute Boots, GREAT Seller but Some Issues Need to be Fixed...for Better Quality
The seller is very kind and prompt in replying to any questions and queries you may have. I ordered the dog boots as my dog really needed them...urgently. They arrived fresh and clean and are very cute. However, there was an issue with them being slightly loose despite the exact measurements I had taken and on top of that, the velcro did not help at all. The Velcro needs to have more WIDTH in order to work - it is too thin a strap. Despite using the velcro, the boots kept slipping off still. I contacted the seller and they were very kind to issue a refund immediately - knowing very well that I had tried my best to make the boots "work" for my dog as I was in touch with the seller from day 1 of getting the boots due to having consistent issues. The boots part that comes on the dog's paws needs to be more thicker and more firmer on the ground to provide rock solid traction. This cannot be hit and miss thing..when you are selling dog boots as there should be NO chance of dogs slipping in the boots - it can be huge deal for that dog who has no traction for whatever reason! My dog did slip despite wearing these boots! Firm up the shoe part and make the woolen material with cotton instead to suit the dog's skin...and this will also help in keeping the shoes up when tied with Velcro. I am going to order another boots unfortunately as my dog needs them badly due to her paws being painful and I plan to keep this seller in my future shopping needs as I am always buying dog stuff since I rescue dogs and need a bunch of stuff usually. GREAT sweet seller but unfortunately, the boots need good quality management and much "updates" to be perfect.

I recommend for a small dog.
It’s water resistant from the bottom of it and overall seems sturdy. We’ve had pretty bad weather out here and I was hesitant to order for my small dog, since my bigger one seems to always leave hers behind when she runs around. These definitely are staying on better on my small dog which is very good. She doesn’t love wearing them but once she’s out with them she’s much more comfortable walking around to do her business, specially since she was having a hard time with this terrible weather. The soft sock part seems to be a bit delicate, so I try to be careful putting her paw in with her nails not touching the sock or the velcro attaching to it so that it doesn’t rip. Sometimes I am afraid it will tear apart. They are not super warm but they are fine. She’sMuch better with them than without.Btw my small dog is a poodle mix. She’s a little over 6lb now and I got her a size M, even though she’s usually a S in most clothes, since most reviews said it runs small. Yes it definitely runs small so the medium fit perfect. My big dog used a different Brando’s this does not apply to her.

Not quite it
Got the medium for my 8 lbs Shih tzu and they were difficult to put on. The Velcro strap isn’t attached to the sock. And if you don’t use the little Velcro strap, the socks will come off when the run. The paw part is coated but the lefts will get wet, it’s a sock.

Too small
The shoe size was to small for my cat, than it was shown on a size table.
