Sigh - sucked in
By the time you get to part two, of book three, you must know that you're an addict. On reading the series (on my kindle) I'd missed this book. So there was a massive story hole by the time I got to book four. So much so I was disappointed that GRR had moved this to back story. Not exactly the order I wanted to read the books in, but you can't undo reading a book, and I had to complete my knowledge. Given that, I LOVED this book. All of your favourite characters appear, and are plunged into even more impossible situations than ever before. As with all his work, you can't put it down. You have to work hard to keep in mind all of the relationships. And the thrill ride is deliciously explicit. The problem comes when you start seeing characters in your work colleagues, and asking yourself "what would Tyrion do?" :-)If you're a fan - get it. Read it before watching the TV series. If you're not a fan, hardly likely you'll be reading my review :-)

So many hours of great reading, so few hours of sleep.
I found it very hard to put this book down as with the first three books in the series. With there being so many characters and so much happening in this story I like how Mr Martin writes each chapter mainly about one particular character.Therefor the chance of getting lost or confused in the story is very slim.Nothing is predictable and the author has no problem with killing off it's main characters, introducing new characters and putting a whole new spin on what the reader anticipates will be the outcome of the story.Don't get too comfortable with your favourite characters, they may not be there at the end of the story.I can't wait to start reading the next book in this series and see where George RR Martin takes me.I've given this book 5 stars only because there wasn't 6 stars.

Book 3 in a Game of Thrones
I loved the TV series so I started the books at A Storm of Swords part one. This one is part 2 of the third book and I have enjoyed each one equally. The third book was split into two parts as it was too big. These books are really fun to read and I've found as the story shifts to each character that I just want to read on to find out what has happened to the last character then get caught up in what is happening to the character in each current chapter. I'm now onto the next book, A Feast for Crows and still find it just as enthralling. Highly recommend these books.

One of the best books I've ever read!
This book has more number of genuine "Oh man, this just didn't happen!" and "You son of a bitch!" moments than I've experienced in any other novel.A total killfest. You would curse the author endlessly one moment, and thank him profusely the other moment.I didn't find the first part of this book strong enough to stand on its own. Now I know why - the second part is everything a reader would want from a novel, and more...more, more, more.I am buying the next part as soon as I complete this sentence.

A very well written book
This is a rare book elevating the fantasy genre, but not for children, depending where you put the limit, some of the heroes (or foes) are teenagers, in their early teens. The imaginary continent of Westeros has to be a little known when you read this book, the content is dense with hundreds of characters and extra, a Middle Age in a fantasy world without firearms, but not an American dream and more sad endings than happy ones at this moment of the tales of G. Martin.

This series was highly recommended by friends
This series was highly recommended by friends. It is not my usual choice of a good read but I could not put the first 2 books down and I find this is the same. The characters with all their faults are not easily forgotten and I find I must finish all the books and hope there is a satisfactory ending.

Great Book, Great Service
The book was delivered promptly and in great condition (as specified). This is an excellent series and with them not having split this book up here in the United States, and yet I purchased the first half of it in England, it was excellent to be able to get the book quickly and cheaply from here within the United States.

" Jaime Lannister sends his regards... "
