As others have noted, the replacement cartridge does not have as many bath balls as the original cartridge which is disappointing. That being said, I will probably buy again in the future because I live in an area with very hard, heavily chlorinated water and cannot install a whole-house filter. Even with less bath balls in the cartridge, this definitely helps improve the water quality.

This is a very basic cartridge in terms of what it achieves, but that means happier bath water for me. It must be used inside a crystal quest ball shell. The media in the old crystal quest cartridges was horribly messy for about the first month of use, even after following flushing instructions. This is so much better. You can basically just use it.

My babies were having sensitive skin issues till I got this. City water yuck but this makes bathing cleaner and less harsh on babies skin.

We’ve been using these cartridges for years and it wasn’t until now were we utterly disappointed and disgusted with the product. You’ll see my former cartridge almost completely full with media and the new cartridge less than a third full.Here was the trick - it arrived more full than you see in the pictures but during the 15 min initiation cleanse the majority of it dissolved and ran black down the drain. What filter media is left just barely covers the screen when lying flat and it’s doubtful that water running through it is going to make contact with filter media.Before buying I saw someone else report minimal media in the filter and I thought it must have been a fluke bc we’ve never had that problem in the almost 8 years we’ve been buying these filters. My return window has just closed. I’m gun shy to buy anymore Crystal Quest products and will be researching other filtering systems now bc this product was over $40 and is basically useless.Crystal Quest I hope you contact all of us whom you have cheated and make it right. That’s what we practice around here.

I ordered this from the company’s website once before and was excited to see them on amazon. We also have the shower filter and I can’t imagine not having them. We have terrible water and sometimes when our daughter takes a bath our entire bathroom will wreak of chlorine, this takes it completely away.
