Our Samsung dishwasher started spewing water. At first we thought it was the drain, but figured out it was the door latch. While I was busy pricing new dishwashers, my husband watched a few you tube videos and ordered this part.8 screws held the door together and 2 screws held in the latch. My husband isn’t particularly handy with this sort of thing, but he did it just fine. Took less than 10min. Dishwasher works great. So very happy we didn’t have to buy a new dishwasher.

It is slightly difference in appearance, but still fits and functions properly. I saw some previous reviews that mentioned it did not fit because it was different. Mine was different too, but fit perfectly and did the job.

The part received looked very different from the picture in the listing. Though it looks like it "might" work, the part they sent does not fit correctly and the unit will not run with it installed. I previously bought the "after market" part from another listing (for half the price of this listing) and found it did not fit. So, I bought this part specifically because they showed the exact part I needed in the picture, only to have it arrive and be the same "after market" part I bought elsewhere for twice the cost.

I checked appliance parts websites and the average price for this part is $63. We’ve had our Samsung dishwasher for 5 years. I didn’t think it would need a repair so soon. Our dirty dishes were piling up so I wanted a new door latch ASAP. I paid another $5 for Amazon 1 day shipping. Who knows how slow shipping is with the other sellers.Removing the T20 screws and replacing the old latch was super easy. Turn off power at your breaker panel first to be safe. Videos are available on YouTube if you want to see how it’s done. This is a simple fix you can do yourself and save money not hiring appliance repair.

This seems to be a redesigned part. It appears to have more structural rigidity. Based on other Amazon reviews I ordered this and agree with what most others said.It is kinda expensive for such a small piece of plastic (many cell phones are cheaper these days) but to replace the dishwasher would be substantially more.After watching a 2 minute YouTube video I was easily able to repeat the procedure without any further explanation. 1st go turn power off at the breaker box.Then unscrew the T20 torx screws on the inside of the door except for the two next to the latch. Then slowly back those two out enough to open the door and not let the switch drop.Then simply unplug the old one and replace it with the new piece paying attention to the latch orientation.Now put everything back together and turn on the circuit breaker.And remember to always check your parts before you order as well as upon arrival. A new dishwasher is expensive and time consuming to have installed. With this switch all I did was disconnect the power and unscrew the door. It was completely repaired in under 5 minutes without having to uninstall the dishwasher or wait for a repair person.

Easy to Install, just half way up the door is where you remove the screws. Dont remove all screws. If you remove all the screws from the door it will be difficult to attach the door again, you would need a second person to hold the door. Then take it out and replace. I used a drill to make it faster.

Good deal and an easy fix. Part fit great and functioned perfect on start up. It was the best price I could find and the fastest I could receive it.

My model number did not quite match the add because it ends in uts. But another review said it would fit. The part is slightly different then the one I pulled out, but fits and works perfectly!

BUYERS BE WARNED!!! You will NOT receive the part you are buying in this listing. You think you are buying part (DD81-01629A), but this part is NOT sold any longer by Samsung. The part you will receive is a replacement part (DD81-02132A). This part is slightly different then the listing. I owned a Samsung Dishwasher model DW80J3020US/AC and the replacement part installs fine, closes the door and latches, but does not close far enough. The replacement part will not seal the door and cause water to run out onto the floor. Samsung was not able to part (DD81-01629A) in the listing and now need to buy a new dishwasher as they no longer make the right part.Hopefully the part works for your dishwasher, but mine is being return. Called a repairman twice to fix the dishwasher. I was told to buy a new one. I ordered this part and repaired it myself. Works great!!

The part is expensive, locally if available I would have paid 72$ but waited up to 6 weeks. This part arrived after 6 days, ahead of planned. I used the part on a GE profile dishwater as most of them are all the same and sourced from the same OEM Manufacturer (I suggest you double check as I did before ordering). It did not look like its picture but fit perfectly and appears to have been redesigned and more robust. Now it just needs to last.
