Easy installation great instructions and a 5 star product

I depend on reviews to decide whether to buy a product or not, so I am grateful to those that send in reviews....I have not returned the favor. So, I write this review, paying it forward. I worried about how this mirror would match the original and how well it would fit. I am totally pleased with this purchase in all regards. Mirror motor works great, chrome looks great and bolt holes and molding matched perfectly. Materials are sturdy and seem to match the original equipment. I could not be more pleased. I will have to see how it looks in five years but so far, no complaints, especially with the great price.

I'm pretty sure this took less than 20 minutes to switch out, the plug matched up perfectly to my factory wiring, and within seconds my controls were adjusting it into place. It looks like it came from the factory in appearance too! Only issue I've experienced at all is that while folded up against my window going through the local car wash it doesn't have as much spring tension as the old mirror and doesn't always stay in place (first time kind of scared me as I thought "please don't tear off", it didn't).

I installed this on my 2002 Chevy Silverado after my original mirror broke at the pivot joint. The new mirror came with replacement nuts, but I preferred to use the 3 original nuts (10 mm) to mount it. This is an easy install and I would say that anyone could do it. If you are not familiar with the process, you could find a video online to see what is involved. Here is a simple summary:Roll down the window to be able to reach the mirror while working on the inside of the door.Use a pry tool or a flat screwdriver to pop loose the triangle shaped cover on the interior side of the mirror from the top and work down, then lift upward to pull the bottom tab out from behind the door panel.Unplug the electrical connector and make sure that it will not fall inside the door.Loosen and remove the 3 mounting nuts while being careful that they do not fall inside the door while reaching through the open window as needed to support the mirror so that it will not fall or scratch the paint.There should be a plastic ring with hooks that help to clip the mirror to the door frame. These can be pried clear of the hole by hand or any handy tool. You should be able to remove the mirror with your supporting hand.Feed the wires out through the center hole so that they do not catch and cause you to drop the mirror.You can figure out that installation is basically the reverse of these steps.06/20/2021 Had to order another side mirror after this new one was destroyed by a hit and run collision when I had the truck parked on the street. Luckily it only hit the mirror and caused no visible damage to the body. Probably wouldn't have been hit if I had the mirror folded in.

I replaced the broken driver's side mirror on my truck. I did not realize that I had ordered a replacement without the heated option. In fact, I had forgotten that I had that option on my truck since I have never driven it in cold weather. Nevertheless, the one I ordered fit perfectly and was easy to install. And I saved a few dollars. Also it looks just like the original.

I had to replace the mirrors on my 2000 Silverado after the base of one of them broke. I was not sure about the replacement unit, but to my surprise, it fit like the originals. They look good, and the automatic adjustment works. Let's hope it lasts me another 25 years.
