I ordered the wrong part.

In case you were confused, this is a zimmerit coating sheet for Tiger ll or king tiger 1/35 scale. Took a while to get here in Colorado but thats the only bad thing i found

Takes a while to get here from Japan, but worth the wait.

Worked well, achieved the detail and effect desired. Turned out to be easier to apply than I had anticipated.

It's a must detail for your Konigstiger model if you are a Tiger 2 lover.

Be prepared to work slowly and make sure you have a good pair of scisors and razor knife and spare blades for this project. Clean the surface of areas where this will be applied and make sure your fingers don't get too sticky with the back of these strips. I used this on a couple of Tiger I models and the results were pretty good but be careful with some edges and where it wraps around parts like the gun barrel base. Work slowly adjust as you go, much like slapping on wall paper. Press out air pockets and keep strips aligned and you will fi it works and looks pretty well. Brush or spray on a sealer/primer coat and work from there. Holds paint and loose edges can be worked down with razor blade tip.

I found this to be the easiest solution to the pain of having to do the dreaded zimmerit coating on German tanks.I did use this on the Tamiya KingTiger but have used the Tiger I set on a DML kit, and with slight trimming it worked fine. Liked that detail item areas are just marked, so as to be able to trim tiny openings later to be perfect, unlike PE sets which have holes precut. I have cutout the area for the "Charging Knight" emblem and found from references that Tamiya's outline is a bit too big, so reduced area slightly to be removed. I coated the material with a model paint Grey primer to be assured that any paint would work, and seal edges. I also used superglue on some joint areas to be sure that stayed down later. Even the curved piece over the armored mg cover worked with a little trimming at joints. Would use again an any appropriate kit that it could fit.
