As promised - smudge resistant! Nothing is 100%, didn't expect that however this is the first mascara I've had in a LONG time that didn't smudge. Had an education in that there is a difference between smudge-free and waterproof. Thank you for this product as it's very hard to find smudge-free mascaras --- for some reason. Also, it lasts all day. Didn't realize how ineffective my old mascara was until I tried this. it smudged all the time and had to be reapplied. Comes off easily w/soap & water. Wish the brush wasn't quite to 'fat', might just be me.

I thought I was ordering CoverGirl Professional 3-in-1 mascara based on the picture that accompanied the listing. I was surprised to open my package and see the CoverGirl Professional Remarkable mascara. But I like it better!

coverGirl has truly messed up their marketing and packaging of their products. While keeping the same numbers and descriptions for their products they fro some insane reason have chang3d to color of their tubes and descriptions. I don’t get it. For decades I have used the blue tube, #200 Very Black, washable, lengthening and thickening mascara. I loved it (blue tube) or I wouldn’t have used it for so many years. Now....# 200 Very Black, washable comes in a purple tube, and a pink tube and a another color I can’t remember. But has discontinued the original blue tube. And the description has changed....now one is lengthening, one is thickening etc....I have tried all these new incarnations and NONE OF THEM do what the original (with the same # and name) did.CoverGirl, please get your act together and go back to the original way of doing things. As they say, “If it ain’t broke......”.

I read reviews that said this mascara looks very natural. That should have been enough to tell me it's not as thick as I prefer, but I went ahead and bought it anyway because of the price. This mascara is pretty thin and doesn't layer well. It did stay put even with my oily skin, so I give it points for that. The biggest reason I only gave it three stars is that it took forever to wash off, though this might be due to the fact that I applied as much mascara as I could. Maybe women who like the natural look and only use a little mascara have an easier time washing it off. I had to really scrub my eyes with makeup remover to get the stuff off, and I worry about the damage that it's doing to the delicate skin around my eyes (and you should too!). I found a smudgeproof mascara at a department store that washes off easily with just water, and I'm using that now instead.

I've been using waterproof mascara for a long time, and it would always frustrate me when at the end of the day I would have dark circles under my eyes from the mascara smudging. Eventually, I caught on that my problem wasn't water, but the oils in my skin. So what I needed was and oil proof mascara, not waterproof. I'm so glad I finally figured it out, and that my favorite brand of mascara already had it. I like the CoverGirl Professional mascaras, they lightly coat your eyelashes with color that lasts. It's a natural look that's great for everyday.
