Ideal No Calorie Sweetener 100 Count

The only reason that I didn't give this product a 5 star rating is because the ingredient sucralose is listed, and from what I understand that ingredient is in Splenda - which I would never use. Albeit that it might be a very small amount of sucralose that is used, but why use it at all?Otherwise, I like the product very much - tastes the closest to real sugar of any subsitute that I have tried - and believe me, I've tried them all.Very disappointed that they do not offer the 350 size that I have been getting for years. Tried to connect Ideal through their website, but I never did get a response.I think that anyone that is a diabetic or looking to curtail their sugar intake is a good candidate for this product. Personally have turned many people onto this product and they continue to use it, but it has been getting more and more difficult to find/get it.

Look no further for a sugar substitute that really and truly has NO aftertaste. I doubted. And why shouldn't I? Splenda promised no aftertaste. Right. Stevia did the same. Yuck. I just tried another sugar substitute the other day that I bought at my natural food store that promised - what? - no aftertaste. Another broken promise. So when I saw all the 5 star reviews for this product I wasn't even going to try it at first. As I said, I doubted. But then I figured, why not give it one more try? My expectations couldn't have been lower. My package arrived today. I opened it up, tore open a packet and dipped my finger in. I placed it on the tip of my tongue and waited for the bitter, chemical aftertaste that - until now- seemed to be the inevitable signature of every sugar substitute. I waited...and waited. I dipped again. Guess what, kids? NO AFTERTASTE!!! This is the real deal. Finally!

It beats stevia or artificial sweeteners by a mile for proximity to the taste of sugar, and doesn't pose the potential cardiovascular risks of agave nectar/fructose. It's sweeter, and has a sweeter aftertaste than than coconut palm sugar. It's still not perfect for baking in place of sugar IMHO, but I'm a food-brat. Still, if I have to bake without sugar, this is the way to go. Don't bother with plain xylitol: it tastes sweet the way sugar-free gum tastes sweet, which is just werid in food, it also feels cold on your tongue, has a weird mouthfeel, and very little sweet aftertaste. The teensy bit of added maltodextrin and sucralose/splenda help to give Ideal its sugar-like mouthfeel and slight bit of sweet aftertaste like sugar (not like plain splenda, which has a prolonged but thin and over-sweet aftertaste), but are not enough to add a carb gram or a calorie to a packet. Overall, a great option for low glycemic/low carb eating.

I was searching for a product that doesn't have that alcohol taste and smell. I am a avid cook, I love great tasting food but don't like to pay the $$$$. Not thrilled with the Sucralose....but sometimes you gotta give a little to get. Until I find something that is not with controversy and is natural and taste great... I'll use this. I'm just over 50, 30 yrs. insulin dependent, 0.3 C- Peptide... and it doesn't seem to kick me out of Ketosis.

Out of all the artificial sweeteners that I have tried, Ideal is the closest to sugar in taste. I'm allergic to pure Stevia and beside that, I don't like the aftertaste. So I am very happy to have found this product.However, the only problem I have is that the amount of "empty" sealed packets in the boxes are increasing. I can deal with a few here and there, but now I can't open a box without getting several empty packets per 100ct box. I'm beginning to feel ripped off. :(

I've been using Ideal in place of sugar for the past two years. I have purchased the bag of sweetner in place of granulated sugar in all my recipes, as well as the brown sugar substitute. I keep the packets at work and in my car so I can use them on the go. I love to use plain greek yogurt, one packet of Ideal and a splash of organic vanilla extract..Instant Vanilla Greek Yogurt without all the added sugar. Or how about fresh fruit with that yogurt and Ideal. Yummy! I don't keep regular sugar in the house anymore and my picky kids don't know the difference when I sprinkle Ideal in their oatmeal.

I love this stuff! when I use xylitol alone I have to use a lot more to be sweet enough. I hate the taste of stevia and don't want to use too much splenda so this is the perfect option! Doesn't affect the taste of tea or coffee for me like other sweeteners do. Not available to me locally so I appreciate the savings for buying multiples on amazon. I keep one in the car so its always with me. I even use it in my plain yogurt...turns a tart healthy treat into a pleasant one!(the bags are an even better value)

I had tasted this product at a Demo stall in a Mall and since then I had been searching for this product at many Grocery stores, but no luck. It tastes 100 times better then Splenda or any other similar products like Truvia or other products. Will not buy any other product. Just hope that this brand also comes in loose and not just in sachets.
