Sthil 028 AV Super
The carb is awesome. Less than 5 minutes to install, saw fired up on second pull. Didn’t even have to adjust the high low jets. This is the third small engine carb I have purchased and they all worked perfectly. I always buy the Amazon preferred product which seem to have the best reviews and the best price. Definitely *****

Worked well when the Stihl dealer said they don't make Stihl carburetors anymore.
Worked well when the Stihl dealer said they don't make Stihl carburetors anymore and that the saw was past it's useful life, and that I should buy a new one instead.Fixed for less than $15, after the dealer charged me $80 to try to repair the OEM carburetor, with a $25 refund offer toward buying a new saw. OK, they cleaned the gas tank with new fuel filter too. Scumbuckers. It fit my 028 AV "Farm Boss" 1986 model perfectly. I used the fuel lines that were already there, so I don't know if they fixed the crappy fuel line issue since getting bad reviews on that a few years ago.Generic part in a plain box not labeled for retail sale in the USA.The carburetor part seems to be made well, time will tell.Made in China.Thank you for the great price and quality! 谢谢!

Fuel link kinks attaching to carb and tank grommet on fuel line is oversized for 028 wood boss
First kit is a decent value, however be prepared for frustration and an easy modification. First the frustration. The grommet for the tank is oversized and difficult to seat. Suggestions: Lube with clean fuel, pull from inside gas tank with long needle nose while simultaneously pushing down the grommet top side with a blunt object. It took some finesse and had to pull pretty hard with pliers but it worked. Second is the modification. The fuel line attaching to the carb kinks. Suggestion: Remove the spring and tube from a common ink pen, use the pen tube to force the spring into the carb end of the fuel line until it is all the way in and plus a half inch. The spring will keep the line from kinking where it makes the sharp turn into the carb.

Not quite a good fit
I own an early 028 wood boss. The screws stick out too far to fit properly into its place. I had to snug them down to get it to fit. Then when i turned them back to the proper setting they butted up against the housing and could not turn any more. I ended up rebuilding the original carb and reinstalling it.

Excellent value for the price
Arrived quickly all parts fit my Stihl 028av chainsaw (not sure why some reviews mentioned that some parts didn't fit??) Very happy with the product

Poor idle on 028 super
Installed carb, started up but was unable to tune at low idle. Ran at wide open fine but low speed jet setting had no effect. The carb acted like a main check nozzle was leaking back to the low speed circuit. Idled up and down could not tune it out . Yeah I did pressure and vac test the saw.

Fuel line to big for hole can't be pulled through
Everything was great ...BUT the fuel line connection is to big for the top of the tank...mid line there is a larger area in the rubber house that should be able top pull into the hole in the top of the tank and seal ....its to big and when compared to the original its obviously different size ....will have to try and order another line ...DARN
