This trap does not work. it was cheap, so I gave 2 starscorrectioneverything is different. this trap works. the problem was in used bait. i didnt have rotten fruit at home, so i used a fresh banana as bait. the flies obviously didnt taste this banana and almost no fruit fly i caught. after a few days the banana began to brown and slightly rot and then it started. it seemed like the fruit flies were competing to get trapped before.until later i read the attached instructions and i found that the best bait is just rotten fruit. so i can confirm that the trap works, but is important to use the recommended bait

This is a nice design. I use the fatal funnels, and they work, but you have to cut the bottle to use those, and this looks to be a better design. I will test it out, next year, and see how it works. I really like the idea that you can just detach the tops and throw the bottles away at the end of the season. The fatal funnels you had to clean and save the whole bottle.

Had this next to the similar version thats green and comes with a bag from the big box stores. This version didn't catch one fly, while the other cheaper version had hundreds in it. Both had the same attractant in them, so it's just the design. Some people say it works for them, but I wasn't one of them sadly.

The package arrived on time and the product was easy to assemble. The directions were easy to read and it helped reduce the fruit flies very quickly. Thank you for making this product.

Wish it would fit the 20 ounce water bottle, but only fits 2 liter soda bottles. Since I don't drink soda, had to have a friend save me some bottles.

One came broken. Just seemed like I would put a lot of effort into something that would break or not work so I tossed them

I was going to send these back because I thought they didn’t work when I first set them out but in a few days I checked and there were several bees in the trap!

I liked the price and the simplicity of the product; especially using bottles already around the house. I filled one with meat for flies and bees, one with real maple syrup for flies and fruit flies and one with fruit for fruit flies. None worked.
