Survives the service.
Let me start off by saying this is a great value for the money. I use this daily and have definitely put the pack to the test. It is very comfortable to wear all day, I have to wear this in full uniform in 100+ degree heat every day and the issue camelback was not cutting it. The padding on the rear of the pack really helps in keeping my back cool and it prevents the material of the pack from soaking up sweat. The bladder itself is not at all insulated so it will quickly adjust to the ambient temperature around. It is a large capacity bladder at 3L and has the wide mouth as shown in the photos. It makes it rather easy to fill from various faucets or water sources. The material used is "Cordura" fabric and sheds water quite well. It is not water proof but water will bead and roll off the surface in a light rain or the like. The hose has an insulator around it which helps to prevent the water in the tube from heating or cooling when you're in the sun. It was always bothersome to take a drink from a pack and the first mouthful was hot. The black insulation is nothing more then that, the tube inside can still freeze or heat, it just takes longer. At the end of the drink tube is a quick release button that releases the mouthpiece from the rest of the tube. This allows the mouthpiece to be easily cleaned without weird tools. The pack has comfortable wide shoulder straps which help make it so there is no fatigue from the straps cutting into your shoulders. It has 2 chest straps one for across the upper chest and another that is around your hips, or the bottom of the pack. The straps across the chest have elastic in them so it allows much more freedom of movement and is completely nonrestrictive. The lower straps around the hips are somewhat pointless as you cannot really load up this pack with enough weight to make the lower straps really useful. They do help in keeping the pack secure to your back if youre doing something where you really need the pack to hug you.The top pouch is nothing more then a zippered pouch that offers a good bit of space for a phone, gloves, or similarly sized items. The lower pouch offers much more room but you must consider that when the bladder is full it will squish the bottom pouch's items if it is too full. The bottom pouch has two inner pockets and one large zipper pocket inside the pouch. Now, onto what I dislike. There is only 2 major things I dislike about this pack. One, the mouthpiece is a pain to get water to flow out of at a good rate. It either has to be bit in such a way that the small hole is over extended, or a lot of suction has to be on it. I have an osprey bladder that I use while cycling and it offers far better flow rate when bit then this. Even the issue camelpacks allow you to get much more water out when drinking from it.Two, the placement of the hose guide. As shown in the photo the hose comes over the top of your shoulder and underneath a small elastic band that holds the hose down. The problem here is that the hose is far too long and dangles. So I put the hose underneath my arm and bring it back up, attaching it to the mouthpiece holder, but since the hose is so long it still has a lot of extra hose moving around. If youre wondering, the clip on the left shoulder strap can be rotated and then the smallest part of the hose itself right before the quick release on the mouthpiece can be inserted into the clip to be held there.Overall I love this pack and for the price compared to similar sized camelback brand hydration packs there is just no comparison. The only thing camelback brand has over this is that the Multicam print on the camelback brand is spot on with our uniforms. In my opinion thats not worth spending $40+ more for a pack with the same bladder size and equivalent pouch space. If it survives the military it'll survive whatever you can throw at it.Update- August 20thI have been wearing this pack as a daily water source and while I still love it for that purpose the mouthpiece is the greatest downfall of the pack. The mouthpiece is designed so it can freely rotate and be detached from the hose. The problem here is that there is not a good enough seal between the 2 components and the bladder leaks if it is left in such a way that the hose is below the pack. I have drained an entire bladder like this and come back to the pack empty with a pool of water below it. The small gap also allows air into the hose when attempting to drink from it so it can be rather annoying to be trying to take a drink and instead its all air until you push the mouthpiece down into the connector. It isn't a deal breaker by any means just something to keep in mind. I'd honestly swap out the bladder for a better quality one from osprey or the like.

This is better than my Camelbak
I LOVE this pack. I needed to upgrade from a 1 liter bladder to a 3 liter bladder for a bike trip but didn't want to shell out the full cost of a new Camelbak. Having liked my Camelbak, I was worried a different brand of hydropack wouldn't have a good mouth piece that would allow for an adequate flow of water. I actually like the mouth piece better than my camelbak and everything else about it too. The tube that connects to the bladder is insulated, there's plenty of room for extra items in the bag, it keeps my water cooler basically all day, and it's WAY more comfortable to wear than my camelbak. Would definitely recommend

Well done.
So far I have only had this out in the field once but it did impress. being my first hydration pack I had no idea exactly what problems to look for before doing a little research. This didn't have any leaks during the entire week (it was full almost the entire time) and I, personally, didn't have any issues with the bite valve or hose. I almost bought a camelback as this is only about $10 cheaper but I decided that the pack itself on this one suited my needs better, I am happy with my decision. If you are new to hydration packs I will give you notice that there may be a slight plastic taste upon first use but it is no where as bad as some reviews make it seem, especially considering I grew up on well water. Long story short, very high quality and very happy thus far. Well done Bonlex!Update: after multiple trips and years I can say the quality had held. Still no leaks and everything works like a dream.

water tube leaks, bite valve not the best, residual plastic taste
Biggest complaint so far are the bite valve and lower bladder connection to the feed tube. first the bite valve requires a bit extra suctioning power compared to my other brand name packs. Secondly the tube tends to leak at both connections, i believe it may be mis-sized oring or one of lesser quality. im trying to find better fitting o-ring or i will return item. most recently took pack for a day at disney; walked around all day w a Wet lower back. Finally, having owned other bladders, this one even after various washes continues to have that plastic residual taste and smell to it. this may be the one sole reason to return item will have to see........

Bag fits hubby nicely and while it does hold the military issue camelback bladder, we were not able to really secure it because the small hole doesn't fit around the opening. The photo shows how we had to secure it. Hubby really liked the Velcro to add his flag patch and the spots for pins.

Good design, well constructed
Used this for Burning Man and I really like the design. Perfect size for the water bladder, a first aid kit and all of your daily carry stuff like wallet/cell phone/etc. Plus it has lots of spots on the outside to attach things to with carabiners. Great for any kind of day hiking or other activities. Also it seems well made and the bladder hasn't leaked yet, so those are both huge plusses in my book.

Great bag, bladder may rupture
This is a great value for the size, build style of the tube, and the ability to add accessories using the MOLLE. But, the inner spine of the bladder came off during the first use. This means that when filling the bag to capacity it takes on a round shape causing the pack to push into your back more. It has not affected the use of the bag, but is something to be aware of.

Perfect!
Pretty much perfect in my opinion. Great for quick hikes, or whatever, where a hydration bladder is necessary. The extra pockets are awesome, plus the MOLLE webbing allowed me to customize the bag. The included hydration bladder is of great quality as well. Be sure to let it dry fully when cleaning or else it'll get moldy inside! No bueno
