Grand Blue Dreaming 1

Make sure you get the gist of what this manga is about because I believe it's one of the best but some people get mad that it's not their cup of tea and bomb ratings. The manga I received was in good condition with no flaws. As for the story without spoilers it's a very funny comedy about a guy who gets forced to join a diving club in his first year of college. There's lot's of drinking, comedy, and adult-level humor involved. I think it's hilarious but before you buy look up a more in depth explanation on the manga to see if it's your cup of tea because I hate when people don't and bomb the ratings.

Product came in great condition. The size of the manga volume is a bit bigger than your average manga volume. The first few pages open with beautiful color pages printed on heavy gloss stock. The rest of the book is regular black/white. First off I'm the average action manga/comic reader and I wanted to start reading something that was different and laid back. I've only read the first chapter in this book and I am already in love with it. The first chapter does a fantastic job at introducing the main characters, setting and the tone of the series.I read so much content and watch a lot of comedy that it gets hard for a book to make me laugh. The last time I laughed out loud while reading was Wolverine and the X-Men omnibus. The first chapter of this book broke that streak. Iori is a character who graduated from an all-boy high school looking to start a fresh new life with new friends and lots of college women. The first thing he sees in this new town is a beautiful girl with curves in a skin tight diving suit emerging from the local waters. Unfortunately the scene takes a complete turn for the worst when he goes to diving shop owned by his uncle and is greeted by a bunch of guys doing all-guys shenanigans. The experiences of being at an all-boy high school is back to haunt Iori, but luckily he has 4 years of experience of being in these situations.I would highly recommend for anybody who wants a good laugh and laid back story to pick up this book. If you're like me and went to an all-boy high school then you can already relate to Iori. If you didn't then you're in for a real treat because this book takes those stereotypical experiences and cranks it up to college manga level of crazy. I guarantee after you read the first chapter you will want to keep diving back in for more. Pun intended.

Grand Blue is a diving manga. Well, more like a sinking manga. As in, sinking into the depths of human depravity. Well, more like a dragging manga. Being dragged into those depths by benevolent college seniors who happen to like diving and want our "hero," Kitahara Iori, to like it, too.Grand Blue is a special manga. When you go on a manga forum or Reddit and ask, "What are some manga like Grand Blue?" you'll get a lot of good recommendations for a lot of good comedy manga, but everyone there will qualify those recommendations with a statement like, "Well, there's not really anything quite like Grand Blue." These statements don't necessarily refer to Grand Blue's high quality, though it is quite high quality. There are plenty of comedies roughly as good as Grand Blue. It's just that Grand Blue's brand of comedy is a pretty unique blend. Maybe you'll like that blend or maybe you'll hate it, but it's a pretty safe bet that if you'll like it then you'll REALLY like it. Pick up Volume 1 and see for yourself.

I'll start off by saying that pretty much all of the 1-3 star reviews are by people who either aren't into manga, or simply didn't "get" grand blue dreaming.next i'll say that this is much less a "diving" series and much more of a partying series. The writer knows this and is very self aware. funny comments like "this is a diving manga" and "i thought this was supposed to be a diving club" get me every time.people are complaining about the slapstick humor, the "uneven graphics" (called sakuga btw) and nakedness of the characters but that's all the whole point of the manga. don't buy it if you don't know what it's about. all that is what makes it the most hysterical manga/anime i've ever read/watched. you don't leave a bad review for a blue shirt because you don't like the color blue.

Grand Blue Dreaming is simply stunning. I watched the anime in a 2 day binge and LOVED it. I love it so much I decided to buy the manga XD and I wasn't disappointed! The best thing about this series other than the comedy genius is that it doesn't take itself too seriously! Each character has a ridiculous/fun persona that will have you crying from laughter. If you're looking for a fun time join the crew at Grand Blue Dreaming!

This starts a bit over the top to introduce the characters and story. It settles down then gets to the fun part - learning how to dive, why all sorts of people love it, and some of these goofball characters motivations besides seeming obnoxious.

If your into crude adult but with censored pic mixed slice of college life with romance and some amount of actual diving in the sea, but most of all beautiful drawings of real seaenvironment and life aquatic.

This first volume was really funny. Final chapter of this volume was surprisingly good plot-wise too, so that's great. Definitely gonna pick up the next volume.

If you like drinking alcohol and party with comedy this is for you ! That’s my kind of humour. Also lot of pantless guy but don’t be afraid xD

Now I can proudly say, I have no regrets.Worth the money. Thanks to bookswagan.I brought both vol 1 and vol 2 at the same time so this review will be in vol 2, too.Go for it. Your money is well spent.One issue I had with my purchase was the lack of protection against accidental damage during transit. There's no proper cushioning. As a result, the corners of one volume sustained some minor damage. It was almost negligible, but I still feel like I need to mention it.Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase.

Peak of commedy

The book isn't wrapped in anything which I thought was weird. The condition of the book was pretty mediocre aswell with chips and some damage to the edges. But the shipping was cheap and fast so I can't complain too much. Just wish I got a better product.

This has to be some of the most hilarious stuff Ive ever read. Loved every second of it.The package came nicely secured and the manga was not damaged at all.
