KB Covers Final Cut Pro X Cover for Apple Keyboard Numeric (FCPX-AK-CC-2)

I'm a keyboard shortcut kind of guy. I try to learn as many of them as I can, because it just makes me more efficient. If you use Final Cut Pro X, and are like me, you've found that there are likely more shortcuts than you'll ever be able to remember. This nifty keyboard cover will remind you of many of the more important ones, and fits the Apple extended keyboard perfectly. I was a little concerned that it would interfere with my typing when I'm not using FCP, so I just assumed I would take it off and put it back when needed. I've found, however, that I can just leave the thing on all the time, and can type just fine (as I am doing right now with this review). A bit on the pricey side for what you're getting, but hey, if you're an FCPX user and want to learn many of the basic keyboard shortcuts, you can't go wrong with this. I'd buy it for a loved one (but I don't have any who use FCPX!).

Mostly very helpful but wish the function keys were identified and the lettering larger on all other keys

Pros - The overall quality is good. Fits very nicely and does what it says. Feels very soft and easy to type. Makes a nice addition to my tools of efficiency.Cons - the printed letters and icons on some keys seems like the ink/paint didn't fully cover or saturate the key. The paint/ink is broken up a little bit. Just hoping that it doesn't wear out quickly and i will no longer be able to see the icons. that would defeat the purpose of having it.

Bought this for use with Final Cut and it fit like a glove with no issues what so ever. Works just as its suppose to. And gives my keyboard protection as well. Love it. I will highly recommend to anyone. I know the price is a little steep but to be able to use this for Final Cut and know that its also protecting my keyboard is perfect.

Perfect fit on my corded aluminum keyboard with the number pad which I purchased separately for my Mac mini computer. I was a bit concerned from the photos of the overlay having a large reverse "L" for the "enter" key and the backslash key which is a separate key above. But after installing it, they both keys still work fine. This makes it easier to edit with Final Cut Pro X, especially for a beginner. I even like the appearance of the keyboard with it. I'm glad I didn't spend $120 for a separate FCP X keyboard. This is a less expensive solution.

This keyboard cover is very well made and easy to maintain. Simply rinse, wipe and you are good to go.When I bought it I thought I'd only be using it when I am editing videos on FCPX since I am a little particular with the feel of these soft plastics. However, I really like it and in fact I am not even removing it for normal use.The only reason I gave 4/5 is because it is lacking several important FCPX hotkeys.

Learning FCPX shortcuts have been really easy with this cover. Especially for someone like me who is a visual learner. People who visit seem to look at it like deers in a headlight trying to figure out whats going on. It has helped to improve my workflow and efficiency when editing movies and/or videos. It also makes the keyboard clicks less noticeable and anyone with a mac knows those keys can be a little clicky. Great product overall. Im going to look for one that supports Motion 5 as well.

This cover is absolutely perfect to do shortcuts in Final Cut Pro. The color coding is helpful and the thin-ness of the silicone is ideal. It is very sturdy and pliable. It looks like it will last for a long time and won't crack or split with much use. I am very satisfied and find it to be well worth the price. It makes editing much faster and is easily removed when it's not needed.
