Do YOU know the difference between a JIG and a FIXTURE? Read this and find out!
I have MANY MANY books on this topic, but this is one of the best... probably in the top five books on the subject. The things that make it so good are, clear photographs, good diagrams and copy-able templates ( Degree scales, numbering, layouts, etc.)Also, I have actually built and used about half the jigs and fixtures in this book already and they all work! The reason I bought it was because the cover shows a router jig I have been using for years and know to be VERY practical! As it turns out, this has numerous other jigs and fixtures I have culled from magazine articles through the years, yet it showed me some new ones I had not yet seen!Another peculiar reason I like this book is, it establishes up front what the difference is between a jig and a fixture. That's a nagging question I've never had answered adequately until I read this! Considering the six decades that I've been doing woodwork, that is saying something!Well, do YOU know the difference between a JIG and a FIXTURE? Read this and find out!

I got several good ideas from this book. If you would like to build you own table saw sled, this gives good advise. Beginners and amateurs can benefit with this book. Good illustrations and pictures. This can help improve your skills. A chisel and planer blade jig. overall this is a good book to review or improve your woodworking.

Informative with easy to follow plans, but the book is not up to the latest shop technology.

While it's a reprint if some of their best articles (from a great magazine to begin with)
While it's a reprint if some of their best articles (from a great magazine to begin with), i was glad to find some that I had lost long ago and wanted to revisit. I got it for a song, but at list price I wouldn't have felt "took."

Didn't Find It Useful
A disappointing collection of jigs and fixtures, particularly dated (so many better versions of each are on Youtube). I thought there would be at least a couple I would make, but alas, no. I've been woodworking over 50 years, so I feel qualified to make this review.

Nifty
This book has some very innovative jigs to help the small shop carpenter. The router guide itself was worth the price of the book. The pictures and illustrations are clear and concise, just the way I like them!

It’s ok
Spends much of it’s time trying to compensate for machines that you don’t have. I didn’t find it very useful.

How to do the imposable?
book is great, full of good ideas, but is imposable to read as the printing has been inserted upside down, however I can read inverted printing.
