Dragon Kings The Second Time Around
I have a Dragon Group and someone recently asked if anyone could recommend a Dragon Series of books to read. My mind went back in time to these remarkable Dragon Kings whose entire series I once read long ago. After highly recommending it I began a new journey of Dragon King awareness and pure pleasure. I am 69 yrs old and Rereading this series that Donna has so masterfully laid out before her reader is just as compelling, just as fun and just as amazing a Dragon read that will ever be found anywhere. I truly do love and enjoy these Dragons.. Even selfish Con.. I must admit that having memories of the Dragons does make it more enjoyable.. More personal.. These book, these Dragon stories call to my Dragon Heart.. To my very Dragon Soul.. And it is Nice knowing Rhis fate and who her Dragon King is at this point in time.. It gives a whole new personal element of danger to the tale..

4 1/2 stars!
Just like every other book in this series, I was drawn in and captivated by this world. Dragons have been here since before man. They became sifters to peacefully exist with the humans. That doesn't happen though. And the complications begin.Tristan's story is interesting. I'll admit that I was surprised that the newest Dragon King would be the subject to book two in the series. After reading it, I get why. Those dark are targeting who they see as the weakest link. Dang Fae. But what adds to Tristan's story is how he became a Dragon King or rather who he was before he became a Dragon King. He wants nothing to do with that, understandably. So the elements of that become woven into the story making this much more than a shifter romance.I think that's one of the things I enjoy so much about this world and Donna Grant's writing. While we don't have dragon shifter, we do have a lot of people that just don't get along. There is so much mirroring in this world and our that it adds depth and interest that I enjoy.Things are changing. Someone is after the Dragon Kings. They think they know who. But they are always surprised. I think there's more to it then we know at this point in the series. Old grudges run deep and revenge is best served cold. Much more to come.Sammie is Jane's (another Dragon Kings mate) sister. She's in trouble and heads to Jan for help. That just ends up exposing the whole can of worms her life has become. It's also where she meets Tristan. But Sammie is bound and determined to not bring this mess on her sister's head - or Tristan's. She stubbornly tries to fight her own battles. I admire her though she has no idea what she's facing. She's a good strong female character that I liked.Of coures, Tristan and Sammie together is explosively hot. And they resist the pull a lot. Both have reasons for trying to keep the other at bay. But they suck at resisting each other. Ha.I keep wondering about Constantine. I think that's one of the things I really enjoy about this series. There are lot of other kings who's story I want. His is one. Doubt is cast on him in this book. But I'm having a hard time believing it. I don't always agree with him (or any king for that matter) but he wants what's best for his kings. It's the beginning of trust on my part.More, I need more. I'm sure I'll be devouring the next book soon. I'm still in such a paranormal mood and these books just do it for me right now.

This series just keeps on getting better and better
Tristan is the King of the Amber dragons. He fell from the sky, 2 years ago, with no memory of anything, not his name, nothing at all. So the other dragon kings picked a name for him. A good Scottish name, Tristan. The youngest dragon king, he still has a lot to learn. But he is a mean, lean fighter, and swears his allegiance to the Dragon Kings. Tristan, though is more than just a dragon king. He was a Highland Warrior, twin brother to Ian Kerr. He was killed, but has been brought back as a dragon king. But he has no memories of his brother, or the Warriors he fought with for years.Samantha (Sammi) Miller is the half sister of Jane, who is mated to Banan, one of the other Dragon Kings. Sammi is afraid to open her heart to love, or to care deeply about anything . Jane found out about Sammi several years ago, and has called, emailed, and even visited her, but Sammi still keeps her at a distance. All that changes the day that Sammi's pub gets blown up, along with her business manager. Seems her business manager was laundering money for the mob, through the pub. Sammi, in desperation, goes to Dreagan to find Jane. But she finds Tristan, too. Sammi is running from the mob, but is it really the mob? or is it someone else?Donna Grant weaves a vivid and wonderful tale of Dragons, Fae, and Warriors. She has seamlessly melded her warrior books and her Dragon Kings books into one great big series. The tale is great, the action is great. I was a little peeved with Sammi now and then, with her " I don't want to involve you" attitude. This book just keeps spinning the tale, making us wonder what is up with Ulrick and the Silvers, and what will Con do. Who is Rhi's dragon king lover? Will she ever get him back? and what is the object that the Dark Fae want so badly, that only Con and Kellan know where it is? Keep reading for the next installment. This series is great, and just keeps getting better and better and better.

very intense road to love
I was so excited. I thought for sure I would find out who was behind it all. There is a conspiracy against the Dragons. The Dark Fae are working with someone very powerful. Someone has influenced powerful people. Someone has control over government entities. But who???War is coming. The signs are there. Tristan fell out of the sky two years prior having no memories of the past. Tristan doesn't remember his twin or what he used to be. What he does know is that he can't get Sammi out of his thoughts.Sammi showed up on Dragon territory searching for a place to rest. On the run for four weeks, she is exhausted, ill from a gunshot wound, needing safety for a few hours. She knows she is being followed. She has worked hard to loose the tail but they always find her.She won't stop running. She won't stop hiding. Will she find safety? Will Tristan and Sammi accept who they are to each other? Will the evil win? Just when I thought nothing could go wrong, so much does having me rushing to the next book in search of another happily ever after.

I've loved this series from the start
I've loved this series from the start. I'm so glad Tristan got his own book, I've been dying to know his history, although we haven't learned everything there is to know. Donna is very good at keeping the suspense going, and I'm hoping we will learn how he was made into a Dragon King in the up coming stories. The cast is getting bigger and the plot more intriguing and complex, which I love as it gives you more to get your teeth into. I feel like this book is leading us to a fantastic climax as things start to come to a head and I can't wait for Con's story, I have a feeling it's going to be epic. When a Dragon King falls he falls hard, and he will do anything for his mate, as Tristan proves time and again in this book. The sexual tension between him and Sammi is red hot, and even though being around Sammi forces him to face his past and creates a whole range of feelings that cause confusion and anxiety, he is always truly tender with Sammi. Even when it becomes too much he walks away to give himself time, but he can't stay away too long as the pull to Sammi is too strong. Keep it coming Donna Grant, I'm loving it.
