Leather Working Skiving Knife with Wooden Handle - Rounded Edge

What more do you need in the way of a leather cutting tool. Is it chromed? No. Is it pretty? No. Does it cost $10. less because it is neither? Yes. And well worth the price at that. Very practical and useful. The blade may look a little rough but it is very sharp and holds an edge very well. I like this tool because it is not designed to be a thing of over priced beauty. I like it.

As delivered it required a good deal of stoning and polishing in order for it to work properly. Heavy grinding marks requiring a fair amount of works withs stones to obtain the properly polished surfaces to make it work.. This is not uncommon even in very expensive tools. Just something to be aware of.

You can tell by the pictures that the blade is a little crude, but don’t let that deter you. This thing is sharp, comfortable, and cuts leather like butter!

The knife is cool and functional. It arrived kind of sharp, but could have been better. In retrospect, most of what I might do with this, I can do with a regular craft knife or box cutter. So, who knows maybe in the future I will find a use for it. It does look cool though

Product was returned. Grind marks on bladee. Splinterring on handleReading through many comments, it appears that the manufacturing is extremely inconsistent. Quality is on a a continuum of very poor to excellent. Apparently, little or no quality control or inspecvtion. On both I received, the handle was so rough at a minimum I would have received blisters and probably splintered.

Very nice leather tool. I just received it and was able to try it out already. The blade is really sharp and shape of knife allows to work comfortably with small objects. Will be back for more products. Thanks!

Great leather working tool! Very sharp edges and comfortable handle. I was working with it for a few hours in a row but didn't feel any discomfort in my wrist. Two edges are sharp what makes working with a leather a lot easier.

Handle had chips out of it, the brass ring was much thinner than shown, not very sharp out the box and the profile it's so weird I'm not sure it will sharpen nice without completely remaking the edge. 2 stars because it does work but it's extremely disappointing to get what should've been a $5-6 knife. I'll be replacing it very soon.

So when you see the knife pictured and then what you got - it's kind of like McDonalds commercials and what you get in the bag. The handle needed some sanding so I didn't get small slivers and the copper ferrule was in need of some serious love, glue/epoxy removal and some sanding and polishing. The blade itself did need work as well, it was sharp enough to cut carrots but not adequate for leather work- and needed a lot of polishing. But now that all that is over - this is a good knife, very useful and has already been put through some paces. Do not expect a super sharp and asthetically pleasing tool right out the box - but after some attention for the price I have no complaints anymore. 4 out of 5 just because of that reason.

The brass collar sleeve that holds the handle was loose and not fixed to the wood handle. I had to sharpen it also
