Vinca Minor 'Traditional' (50 Bare Root Plants)

I was amazed at how well packed and healthy these were when they arrived!! We have an erosion problem and I’m hopeful that these plants will help keep our hill stronger.

I'm so sad, most of mine died

I received a fistful of (mostly) healthy bare root plants - closer to 65 plants than the 50 advertised, so the quantity was great. I'm hoping that the vinca will grow in my backyard where regular lawn grass won't because it doesn't get enough sun. My initial purchase said that my delivery would be May 2-7, and then I got an update via text on May 1, telling me that delivery would occur on May 7. I breathed a sigh of relief because I still hadn't picked up the bags of soil that I would need along with some tools I wanted. Plus, the forecast was for heavy thunderstorms over the next three days so I could avoid bad weather as well. But on May 3rd, the plants arrived, so I had to scramble to buy everything I needed, and then it took me three days to plant all of those plants by myself, in between downpours. So please, whoever is responsible for guesstimating delivery dates, just don't. If you give me a date range for delivery, I will more likely be prepared ahead of time than if you give me an exact delivery date that turns out to not be accurate.On the plus side, most of the plants seem to be healthy but six or seven of them seem to be dead or dying. But since I paid for 50 and got well over 60, looks like I'm ahead of the game in that respect. I'll update this review once I can tell how the plants are doing and whether they'll survive.

Our plants were lost and were not delivered to our house by UPS. Classy Groundcovers sent us another shipment quickly. The plants were of really great quality and are doing very well. I would recommend them highly!!

I used a bulb planter for the holes with some potting soil to go in the hole with the bare root plants.The first 30 days I watered and things were looking good but, they all died after that. I'm thinking if I would have watered longer they may have survived. I knew I was taking a chance buying Bare root plants.

These came well packaged and easy to plant with a several roots banded together for each hole. Only a few have died but the remainder look like they'll do well!

Unfortunately for me, I received and planted with 36 hours. But over 70% did not do well. I dug them up and replaced with rocks. Not my best experience.
