I am not a prepper. I got this book out of curiosity, to see what the author has to say about any worst-case scenarios. The first chapter offers information that everyone knows. For example, it says, "You need to know that stock markets have a major impact on the economy." Are there any people who do not know that?The second chapter offers some historical examples, which are indeed worth to know. Then, the book goes into surviving strategies. I guess this is the info that preppers are looking for. Overall, it is useful for the peppers, but some info is contradictory. First, the author recommends that you should make yourself very valuable for the company you work for. Two pages later, the author says that you should be self-employed because you cannot rely on employers at the time of crisis.

Won't take more than a few minutes to read. I was disappointed that the description didn't make it clear that this was a pamphlet, not a book.

I thought I was buying a book. I read this "book" on just a few minutes. It had good info in it but nothing I haven't already read online on anyone else's blog.

It was short yet fully packed book about the economic collapse and some self awareness. It somehow explains the instability of the economy globally. Guess this book just doesn't leave us message about the fluctuation of economic flow, but also serves as an eye opener to us, like the author would like to relay, what if the worth of the money is not sufficient for us. How could a society, nation, country could stabilize even for a short period of time so that we couldn't feel much the deflation or inflation. So we have to be well prepared for what could possibly be happening if we were really struck then. Good thing Jim share lots of techniques and tips for some alternative dos and don'ts. For me, this is a must have book to read, especially nowadays. We may not feel it today, but in the future will sure do.

Very small book-it is 30 pages with large print. You could find the information by doing a search on the internet. There was nothing new that I was able to take from this book. Save your money and buy something with more meat-reads like a magazine article.

I enjoyed adding this book to my library of prepping and survival books. The book makes a real connection for circumstances where cash has been rendered useless. The author covers all the major points of an inevitable economical collapse. Its recommendations for bartering are great. It is full of viable options for preparing for this outcome.This book takes you through the whole timeline of a collapse. Starting with the cause of the collapse, to how to cope with money being worthless, and then to what you can do to make it through the collapse. This book is useful for someone who is wanting to put together a plan or at least have an idea so they are not blind sided. Also, useful for someone who is not a beginner at prepping that wants to double check their plans in this particular situation.

This is the most disappointing item I have ever bought on Amazon. It is nothing more than a cheap, plagiarized, rip-off of the excellent and well written book of the same title by James Rickards and is most likely a violation of every copyright law on the books. I bought this in a hurry because I gave my first copy to my grandson who is studying finance at the University of Utah and wanted a back up copy for my own reference, which I eventually bought. It is one of the reason I let my long time Amazon Prime account to expire. It was only a $7.99 mistake but I am still pissed about it. Thank you for FINALLY allowing me to vent. John U

This book made me think of stuff I'd rather not think about. Like what do I own that actually has value? What skills do I possess that actually provides value to others? This book examines both materials and skills that will see you through an economic meltdown. And help to improve both yours and your loved ones' chances for survival. If you are picking up this book, chances are that you believe, as I do, that at any given moment absolutely anything can happen when we least expect it. And chances are, it will be 10 times worse than anything we could possibly imagine. Every failure is a failure of imagination. This book will help spur your imagination, your greatest asset for dealing with the unexpected.

I enjoyed the first park of this book more than the second. Understanding inflation and the reasons for financial collapse was very interesting. The one thing that really hit me was the connection between natural disasters and financial collapse-natural disasters are more and more common and the impact on the economy is surely going to stretch things.The ideas for withstanding economic spirals seemed like going back in time but at the end of the day it is common sense - survival of the fittest.

This is a very thin book, only 30 pages with quite large print. I was very disappointed. The quality glossy cover, the surface size and the lengthy (sub)title makes it appear to be more substantial. The content itself is very basic, but not necessarily uninteresting or inaccurate to the right reader. It's ok as an intro for someone investigating the issue for the first time but if you are looking for greater detail especially regarding tips for self-sufficiency, survival etc. then I do not think that this is the book for you. A good deal of what is covered in this book is, in my opinion, common sense.
