For the most part this brush works good. I will say I have had a couple bristles fall out onto the furniture as I'm putting a top coat on but other then that it does the job. Nothing you can't just pick off and keep on going. FYI: just started with the whole chalk paint craze and I have to tell you that the Dixie bell top coat is amazing! It's not a wax so you don't have to be scared by it. It's a top coat that goes on and when it dries gives in a nice sheen finish. Try it out! I'm obsessed with their paint and then brush for the top coat application!

Disappointed
I was a little disappointed in these brushes. They shed their bristles while I was painting and I constantly had to pick them out of my paint project! Ugh!

I bought this because I wanted to try it before I spent a ton of $$ on another AS brush
I chalk paint almost daily as a part of my interior design business. Up until recently, I had two Annie Sloan brushes that I rotated. I had gotten to where I often had several pieces going at once and really needed more brushes so I wasn't using them before they had dried from being washed. I decided to take the plunge and try this brush and I LOVE it. It is just as nice as my Annie Sloan brushes (the difference is almost undetectable) and I am a very happy customer. Bristle breakage and loss is normal (even with Annie Sloan's brushes that cost 2-3 times as much and can be minimized by working the bristles back and forth and side to side with your hands as well as washing your brushes with a good lye soap. Lye soap contains lard and the lard works to condition your brush. My Annie Sloan stockist sells the lye soap I use (little white lye and big fat lye), but you can buy it from a lot of stores or make it yourself. If you take care of your natural bristle brushes, they will indeed take care of you!

Disappointed
It was not as soft as I desired and was difficult to clean. It did not apply the wax as well as the nylon bristle paint brush I had been using.

Satisfied
I really really like this brush. I have noticed a few stray bristles but not any more than from my A.S. brand brush. I will definitely repurchase.

Highly recommend for applying chalk paint & waxes and for use as a wax buffer
I own an Annie Sloan paint brush in small but can't tell the difference between the two brands except the price. This brush is more affordable and doesn't constantly shed its bristles like less expensive brushes tend to. In the future I will just buy this brand of brush for applying the Annie Sloan brand of paint & her waxes. I use one to apply the wax and a second brush as a buffer. Works great! Cleans up nicely using lye soap. The shape of the brush rests comfortably in my hand & isn't tiring.

Hated it
Bought this to use with milk paint. It was horrible. It left huge lines from the bristles and they shed everywhere. Just buy foam rollers made for cabinets instead. So much easier and nicer looking when finished
