Success with loquats, oranges and grapefruit
I've picked a bucket of ripe loquats easily with this picker. The fruits are from 2 cm to 3.5 cm in diameter. I tested this picker on oranges and a grapefruit, too, and I had good success with both. The metal is rigid enough to hang onto the fruit as I pull down on it, yet the picker didn't get bent. Yet, when my husband used his fingers, he was able to adjust the bend in the metal "tines" easily. The fabric bag does come off the metal picker easily, so I used a needle and heavy thread to tie the bag onto the metal picker; there are several convenient holes in the metal for this modification, so I'm happy.I used an old plastic pole I had lying around and drilled a hole completely through it near one end. I slid the neck of the picker head onto the pole, then put two zip-ties through this setup to attach the head to the pole. Works great!

Pretty good for high cherries
Bought a pole at the hardware store . Works good . I did bend “fingers inward to make catching easier and gap smaller

Absolutely don’t buy
I purchased the fruit picker to pick persimmons, but I had to sew the cloth pouch unto the holder. I don’t think you could pick 1 cherry the way it was. The pouch is flimsy and small, certainly not worth the money, and don’t buy!!

ONLY 1 PICKER NOT 2 PACK
ONLY 1 . The description is misleading. You will only receive one fruit pickers and mine the bag was not attached. Easy fix but I fear to much weight and it will come off. Other than that it does the job.

So simple yet effective!
The fabric is not sewn on to the metal frame, so you will have to do that yourself. I used crochet thread, doubled for extra strength and a thick needle. I wish I had discovered this years ago!The beauty of this picker vs the basket types that I have seen, is that it works perfectly for BOTH my large mangoes and my small plums! The fabric does get stained with use, and at the end of the fruit season I will wash it before storing it away. You won't be disappointed with this must- have fruit picker!

Spacing of prongs not tight enough for cherries.
No band of any kind to hold bag on. Bag tears easily. As is, I have to rig the bag to hold a heavy fruit.

might come apart
Mine came apart and the way I fixed it was to snip holes in it then insert the metal prongs through about 4 different snips in the material. Then it didn't come apart any more.
