This is simply the best thermometer I've ever owned. Response time is fast. Display is easy to read, and can be set custom to your liking. The weight and feel of the unit is great. You can quickly feel and see that it is high quality, and will last a long time. It just feels good in your hand.For something that's as important as a thermometer in the kitchen, it's worth spending the money on a good unit. I've bought many others that have failed, at the worst time of course, before finding this one.Highly recommend.

I’ve had my Mister Chefer Instsnt Read Thermometer for going on 3yrs. I began having issues with it tonight while cooking chicken leg quarters. When closing it, the unit no longer turns off. And of course, I lost the thin o-ring while removing the battery trying to reset it. It didn’t resolve the issue. I have sent an email to the manufacturer.I really like the thermometer. It reads quickly. I absolutely recommend it for anyone looking for a nice instant read. It reads quicker and lasy d longer than any Taylor that I’ve owned!

Don't mess with old analog dial type thermometers! This works great and as advertised! We have been using ours for over a year now and it never disappoints. One of the better digital's out there hands down! Also, has a convenient magnet built in to slap it on the side of the fridge or microwave ready to grab when you need it!

Shipped quickly. Verified calibration with ice water as instructed. Was spot on from vendor. Have used this several times on thick grilled hamburgers. No more raw insides. Used on steaks & chops & they have been perfectly done. Long probe is perfect & folds away easily after use to turn the unit off. Just bought 3 more for family gifts. Cannot rate battery life or durability at this time.In need to amend this review !! My unit basically failed as the probe disconnects from the unit & the connection broke & is now useless. I used it to check the temp on the Thanksgiving turkey & when I pulled it out the probe stayed in the turkey & broke the wires. I have tried to contact Mr Chefer through Amazon's messenger service 3x and no response. I tried to contact them directly & still no response.I decided to contact Amazon concerning this issue. The "first responders" were as helpful as Amazon's playbook would allow. I respectfully asked for a supervisor to try to assist me. The first time I was connected to a person named Steven. Told me the item I ordered was not available in blue at the present time so I was not eligible for the warrantry & actually hung up on me when I expressed my concerns telling him the color doesn't affect the performance which I will explain now. I told him I did not care what color the item was. I only wanted the shipper, whom Amazon represents, to either validate their lifetime warranty or tell me to get lost. The shipper proudly says they have a lifetime warranty. Absolutely NO response from the shipper. Amazon said they will contact the shipper but refused to include me in the email chain. Amazon will not/cannot send me a new item and it is fulfilled by Amazon because I ordered the item in BLUE & Blue is is out of stock. I have spent 2+ hours of my life trying to get a resolution for a $15.00 item.The absolute kicker in this fiasco is that Amazon refuses to credit a refund to my active credit card on the account, since I dropped the credit card I originally used the refused to transfer the credit to the active card I currently use. Apparently Steven was a good company drone and was not able to serve a concerned customer.Amazon sent me a refund on a gift card which, at this time, I will not use. There is no other option but to use the refund thru Amazon.My opinion is screw Amazon. No flexibility for customers. I am DONE with them.

This isn’t the first thermometer I own but definitely the best. Heavy duty strong grip and very easy to read large fonts. Comes with an explanation of the cooking temperatures which came in really handy. Love it!

I have purchased several of these. One was to replace the one I lost... and several were for gifts. They really come in handy as to when your steaks or Chicken are Done. I'm not sure how I got along without one for so long..

BBQ season started and I put the probe in a steak, and as I pulled it out, instead of coming out of the steak, it broke where the probe meets the plastic. Emailed the manufacturer because of their "Lifetime Warranty" and I never got a response.

Easy to use, accurate thermometer. It has held up well and is an valuable tool for the kitchen.
