An amazing adventure in nature!
This fiction book is a very fun book about a little girl who lives in the city of Paris and likes to go on adventures. She always takes along her most treasured possessions, things to help her remember her fun times. One day, she goes to visit her grandparents who live outside of the city. They always give her a special present and this time they gave her a bicycle. When she rides her bike, she falls off and meets a talking bee! The bee teaches her about nature and helps her get back home. Who wouldn't want to learn about nature from a talking bee?! I had fun learning about the different foods that bees help produce, too.I think other readers would really like this book because it teaches them about nature in a very colorful, interesting way. I related to Belle because her and I are very similar. We both love nature, adventures and I wish I could talk to a bee. This book has interesting facts, beautiful illustrations, and a list of foods bee help produce. I love this book! I think children of all ages, boys & girls, would enjoy this book. I would give it 5 stars! (or 10!)Review by Young Mensan Lila H., age 8, Central Pennsylvania Mensa

A lovely story linked to our topic!
Used this book as our English story focus with Year 2's in Summer term. Children were able to draw story maps, write questions to and for the bee, write thank you letters and diary entries all based on this book. Also linked to Science (Animals and their habitats), Geography (mapwork) and PSHE (keeping safe). A great cross curricular story!
