Aniseed gravy…yuk!
Bought as I had hoped to replicate the taste of Chinese chips shop gravy. Sadly this was disgusting and flavourless, apart from the taste of aniseed. This is most definitely not anything I’ve ever tasted in a Chinese takeaway before. However the taste was very similar to Southern style gravy from Farmfood / Iceland. Which only costs £1 and contains nearly 4 times as much gravy than this overpriced product.
