7 x 19 Galvanized Aircraft Cable Wire Rope 3/8" - 50, 100, 200 ft (100 ft Coil)

This is very solid stranded cable. It takes quite a bit of effort to cut through it (a good thing). Be sure to leave enough extra (~10”) if you are going to loop and clamp it. While it will bend pretty sharply, the more slack you provide the better.

The 3/8" galvanized cable is pretty thick and it takes some effort to make sharp bends with it, such as through the loop/thimble that you use at the ends. Otherwise it is reasonably flexible and can make larger diameter bends without a problem. The cable seems to be of high quality and well galvanized, but only time will tell. I used this cable to strap down a 500 gallon propane tank to its concrete pad, and I feel pretty comfortable that it's not qoing anywhere. Product shipped faster than estimated, came packed in some plastic wrap and inside of a USPS priority box. It's probably cut to length from a bulk spool by the supplier, wound up and plastic wrapped. Don't expect any fancy packaging, but do expect a high quality cable at a good price. You can find a stainless steel clip/clamp, thimble and crimping loop kit on amazon that can be used to secure the ends of this cable.

Using this as a Zip-Line in the backyard-works great and holding up really well with use. This was just the right length for what we were using it for so we didn't have to cut it. The sip line with this holds a 200+ pound adult when tightened with a 4 ton winch. Using hose pieces to protect trees that we are using for ends and this wire rope has not cut through the rope.

It’s steel cable!! It’s steel, it’s cable, it’s 50 feet long, it has two ends. It’s round, it’s shiny, it’s sort of heavy. It unwinds into a long length of twisted cable to do what you buy it to do. It is after all ... steel cable!! It is working great holding up both ends of my front porch swing!
