Really nice!
This guitar is beautiful and plays great! It's a great value and is built way above its price point. It was quite playable right out of the box, but I did do a bit of a setup on it for my own personal taste.1st off, I put on new strings. The originals felt kinda cheap and didn't hold tune very well. While they were off, I polished the frets ( personal taste... they didn't really need much) and oiled the fretboard. I did notice a little unevenness with the inlays, but i dont feel anything while playing, and i think they look great. No other issues with the fretboard and the binding and fretwork is terrific!I put on a set on heavier guage strings, for a "jazzier" sound, and did a minor truss rod adjustment to compensate for the increased tension, and checked the intonation of each string. I only needed very minor adjustments as the intonation was pretty much spot on from the factory! I also adjusted the pickup heights a bit, but other than that, everything looked and sounded great!Plugged in, this guitar really sings! I spent several hours playing just about everything I know, and having a blast! It really plays well and sounds fantastic! Jazz, country, rock, blues,... all can be part of this guitar's repertoire. It takes overdrive well, but not too much gain or it will feed back - it is a semi-hollow after all. But all In all, it's just a great, very playable guitar!

IYV IJZ-300 TSB Jazz Solid hollow-Body Electric Guitar, Tobacco Sunburst
Hello everyone.First of all, let us get this out of the way. When someone purchases a guitar (whether it is used, refurbished, displayed model, with minor imperfection, or a new one) at some point you are going to set the action, set the intonation, treat the fret board, file the fret ends, replace/modify the knobs/switches/bridge/strings/pickups/neck/etc. to your preference. It is no difference when you buy your vehicle. Eventually, you are going to change/add/replace/modify items on your vehicle to your liking. And that is fine. With that said, please do not count these components as a negative criticism towards these guitars.Let us just focus on the guitar itself. With minor tuning and neck adjustments, these guitars are ready to play right out of the box. As you know, minor tuning and neck adjustments are common with any guitar you purchase. The finish, quality, and construction of these guitars are awesome. The headstock is eye-catching. The neck is straight. The frets do not have dents/divots and are smooth (no sharp edges). The fret board is fine. The body is beautiful. The joints/seems are connected to satisfactory. The hardware (pickup selector or switch/output or input jack/volume & tone knobs or controls/bridge/pickups/pick guard/tuners/electronics/screws/nuts/strap buttons/fret or inlay markers/fret nut) are nice, functional, and tight. There may be some small blemishes or cloudy finishes here and there, fret board might have some kind of dye on it, but nothing really significant that would cause you NOT to play the guitar immediately.I’ve made NO modifications or changed any components on this guitar and had no major issue with feedback noise, guitar getting out of tune from hours of play, components getting loose or not working, breaking strings, electrical issues, etc. Again, everyone has their option on what they consider feedback, guitar out of tune, components getting loose or not working, breaking strings, electrical issues, etc. And that is okay. It also varies on the equipment (amps/stacks/pedals/cables/etc.) you use and how you play these guitars. In conclusion, these guitars are attractive, feel great, look fabulous, sound terrific, entice you to play them and definitely fun to play.I’m sold and I’m a HUGE fan of the IYV Guitars! I wished I could have purchased the earlier models when they first came out. If I had the money, I would buy all the IYV models. For a guitar under $200.00 and with no shipping fees, these guitars are an excellent investment! I will say it again. Not only are these guitars gorgeous, but they are also a pleasure to play.I hope IYV will continue to produce new models or have older models available because I am excited in purchasing them in the future.Thank you IYV Guitar company/staff for producing this magnificent product!

Check this one out!
After spending several hours with this guitar over the last 4 days I think it's a keeper! Very nice looking, well made and assembled with a very thick face (3/16 in or close) and i am assuming the back as well. Some minor cosmetic issues but I would be the only one to notice. Nice response from the volume and tone controls. Pickups sound nice, selector and cord recptical crisp. The string tuners are ok but a couple of them are a little sloppy. If you don't like the Asian symbols on the truss cover just flip it over. It's plain on the other side. Bottom line is I am going to buy a nice set of tuners and take it in to a local luthier I have used before. Have him install the tuners with new strings, fine tune the truss and intonation and any other tweaks, not necessarily in that order. I should have a very nice git box for under 300 bucks. I only give 4 stars because of the tuners and it took over two weeks to get it even though it was supposedly in stock. If you are on a budget and you want a guitar that is not junk, this would not be a bad option...

Pleasure to Play
So far, so good. This is quite a decent guitar at an excellent price. It does, however, possess some minor cosmetic issues (specs of black paint) but they are hard to see and have absolutely no effect on the instrument's sound or playability. We wanted a cheaper instrument for travelling with and such, one we didn't have to worry about getting damaged or stolen but now we don't want to let it go. It's that good. Fun to play, hard to put down. Excellent sound quality, easy on the fingers and eyes. Don't understand why some people say that it is "heavy". We have fully hollow-body Epiphones that weigh almost the same as this IYV IJZ-300 TSB, which is a semi-hollow instrument, and not "Solid-Body" as stated in the company's description. This model is based on the Epiphone ES-135 (which sell for thousands of dollars), but the IYV edition looks slightly slicker. What's especially nice is the fact that this guitar is not a cheap rip off of something else (like a Chibson pretending to be a Gibson) but rather its own thing. Its thin line body is not quite as deep as a ES-135 (it's an half inch narrower– 1 3/4" versus 2 1/4"), its cutaway not quite as sharp as the regular Florentine cutaway but definitely not a Venetian one either; its wired frame trapeze tailpiece fancier than the standard Gibson one; its neck is double bound, whereas many ES-135's aren't bound at all. This guitar is proving great for jazz and, of course, a natural for blues and rock. Never purchased a guitar before without having first tried it out but this one was worth the risk, especially at this price.

Nice guitar, not good strings
The guitar itself is very good for its price. Sounds good, pleasant in hands. But the quality of strings is not the best. When we received the guitar and tried to play it, the string was torn just after several passages. Need to order new strings.

Beautiful in every way.
I simply would compare the craftsmanship and quality to a similar well known brand that sell for $2000-$3000. The whole guitar resonates with wonderful sound and balance.

Unbelievable for the price!
I have always wanted this style of guitar. I saw lots of reviews that raved about this model. I spent $302 CAD and am blown away by this little beauty! The neck was straight and intonation and playability was great. Only thing I would do is a bit of fret polishing. Felt great right out of the box! The only finish flaws I found were a couple small bubbles on the binding - I REALLY had to look to find them. The back of the guitar actually had what looked like book matched wood. Impressive. The machine heads and pickups are decent. This is a fun guitar to play and I am very happy with it. I wish something like this could've been available 45 years ago when I first started to play! If you can get one...do it!

Great for the money
A good semihollow guitar. Required minimal setup out of the box besides a string change. The tuners are the visibly cheapest part. Some cosmetic flaws. Pickups sound good, and it's generally comfortable to play - fret work is pretty good. About as good as a guitar you'd spend 2-3x as much for from a name brand. A great buy, as long as your expectations are realistic.
