Zen building experience, lovely (if large) model
I enjoyed putting this model together. You assemble different body parts (wings, core, tail) one by one and put them together at the end. Building the parts was fairly straightforward and repetitive, in a way that could be relaxing or boring, depending on one’s preference. The main challenge is assembling the parts together at the end—in particular, attaching the tail to the body, which is the last step. The model is very pretty once assembled, but note two things : First, it is a very large model, tall and with a relatively big footprint. Second, I found that this was not a very stable model—it will stand by itself, but I would recommend building it wherever you plan to display it.

Beautiful piece
I love doing these metal models. This is the second one I have done of the peacock. My daughter took my first one. Lol The colors on this metal model are so vibrant and pretty! The only hard part of this model is the feet.

Beautiful Results
This was my first metal sculpture; I would say it took me 4-5 hours working on it piecemeal. I was able to construct it with only tweezers and needle nose pliers although something to clip the pieces free from the starting sheets probably would have saved a good deal of time (I gently bent the connections back and forth until they gave way).A lot of reviewers mention it is not stable; the tail IS very heavy and there are only two points of contact with your flat surface, however mine is quite stable as I was able to bend the tail feathers in such a way to support more weight as it sits. That said because there are really only two points of contact a stray breeze won’t blow it over but a small push certainly would. Additionally the angle of the tail to the body may vary slightly depending on how you put it together (based on what I’ve seen in other reviewers images) so if you tail “floats” I recommend bending it downward to provide support for the overall structure. The metal pieces can tolerate a lot of bending so long as you’re not moving them back and forth.Highly recommend for someone motivated enough to work toward the end result. There is a lot of repetition and small pieces to work with but everyone that has seen mine has instantly responded with “Wow!”.

Really cool, but delicate
This was a hit for Christmas, my daughter loved it. I had to help her with some parts but she did a lot of it solo. She is 9.5 years old, says 14+. The model is beautiful, and fun to put together, but there were a couple flaws with the design. The little tabs that you bend to put the pieces together are the only thing that hold it together and with the weight of the tail the 3 tabs broke, so we had to silicone the tail back on. Other that that its really cool.

It's beautiful!
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband. He has put it together and it is absolutely beautiful. It is very fragile. It takes a lot of patience and has some very tiny pieces. It stands tal and is beautiful in color.

Worth the money, nice challenge.
This is fun and not too difficult. The point of it is to be a bit challenging but able to be accomplished. If you rush or don’t carefully follow directions you will make a mistake, but the final product is worth it.Based on the reviews, I added a little weight in the Base by using some coins. That helped with stability.

Stunning model
This is my 6th or 7th Metal Earth model, so I’ve got the hang for how these go by now. This one was pretty easy to build. Surprisingly the pedestal is what gave me the most trouble. The bird itself was very repetitive towards the end and I actually got a little bored with it. There are a lot of feathers on this thing! After pushing through the boredom, the end result was totally worth it. I made this one for my wife and she loved it. It displays really well in our curio cabinet, and you can’t tell it was a metal earth model until you look really closely.Looks amazing, made my wife happy, 5 stars

Patience
This was the first and only metal kit I've ever done. I did get it put together and the finished product looks great. I was surprised at how small the tabs and slots were. The parts were somewhat difficult to separate from the sheets of metal and the instructions were so-so. Make sure your bends are precise and don't over bend the tabs as they will break, so in places Glue was used. Going back to wood kits !
