Nice Litter mat for smaller areas
If this review helps in any way Positive or Negative Please hit HELPFUL!!! It will help encourage me to continue my real reviews of products I've purchased.Likes: * 35" x 24" works well for my cat now for the moment * Catches most of litter coming off my cat provided she comes straight out of the box * Textured surface traps litter yet my cat does not mind going across it. * AmazonBasics product which to me generally means quality * Prime so fast and free to prime members * Priced less than lunch for two at a fast food restaurantDislikes: * Yes this mat has folds in it due to being tightly folded into a 13" x 10" x 3" box rather than something larger or tube shaped. (-1star) * Have not met a cat yet that faithfully wipes their feet on one of these mats so yes there will be litter in your house that gets past the mat *Cat also magically moves rugs and mats so I lose 10" in length by having to put the mat under the litter boxYes in retrospect I'd buy this mat again. When it gets hot this summer I plan to put the mat on the driveway to see if the heat from the cement will help remove the folds in the mat, but I didn't hear my cat complain at all about the looks or feel of the mat. (will update review if folds come out of mat) My picture shows exactly how I'm using this Amazon Basics pad in conjunction with prior pads in an attempt to trap the litter. :)Thank you for reading my review:Again Please give this review a thumbs up. It is real. I do answer questions if in comments. I've been on Amazon as a customer for over twenty years, and now a top 500 reviewer. I don't get compensated for my reviews. (Not that I wouldn't like to be.) I pay for Amazon Prime so I get any of the perks that come with my Prime membership.

This mat has ZERO issues for those in the know
This mat is no better or worse than all the other 3'x2' mats on amazon dot com, but it is about 2/3 to 1/2 the cost of most of those other mats. So, if you are into saving money... buy this one.If you can't figure out how to get rid of the creases from being folded & shipped in a small box, try this:Take the mat, stick it outside in the sun for half an hour. Voila. No more creases.

Does not lay flat
The mat itself is not terrible, but I CANNOT understand the way it was packaged and shipped. For some unknown reason, instead of selling this product rolled up or folded neatly in half, the mat arrives folded up into sixths, like a map, and shoved into a small, flat box---like the size of a box of Cheerios. This creates deep, firm creases throughout the entire mat, and even after laying the mat on the floor for several days, the giant creases still havent flattened out. It's a lumpy and warped look, as well as a tripping hazard. Why on earth would they fold it up like this? It makes no sense.

Good - not great. Weigh your particular situation.
I had our litter on a water hog mat prior to buying this. My cats have never gone outside the box but the water hog is substantial easy to vacuum and had some raised dots on the bottom to protect my hardwood floors. I bough this there was some litter tracking outside the box and up the nearby stairs. This probably reduced litter tracking by 50% but I am not sure i would repurchase. Cleaning the mat sounds easy but it's not. I vacuum it daily but lots of litter remains trapped. In order to get it all you have to take it outside and give it a good shake - which i hardly ever do. Also the bottom of the mat is sticky rubbery plastic and you will need something under it if you have wood floors.

Not perfect but it helps.
My hubby and I are Catlovers. We always have at least 2 kitties in our little apartment. Cat litter tracking out of the box has been part of my daily life. I keep a broom handy near the litter box. To try to minimize the tracking I have put towels in front of the box, as well as several different types of mats. This is the first one that actually traps most of the litter. I use the broom every other day now. A big improvement to me sweeping every couple of hours. The down side is that "it actually traps the litter". Try cleaning that mat! Here is my best solution:1) I purchased 2 mats so that one can be in use while the other is being cleaned.2) I switched to clumping clay litter that can desolve over time in hot soapy water.3) I shake out the dirty mat to get out whatever loose bits will come out.4) In a large mop bucket I put 1/4 cup Pine Sol and hot water, then fold and insert the mat with the dirty side out so that the hot water and Pine Sol can penetrate the fibers. I let it sit for about 30 minutes, swishing it around every now and then.5) Dump the dirty water (outside or down the toilet) 6) Spray rinse the mat with really hot water then throw it over something to air dry.It holds the water so it takes a while to dry out. Hense the second mat...It is not like new, but clean enough and when it is 100% dry I store it in a plastic shopping bag.Hope this helps!

Can’t be machine washed of poop and pee
This mat has been the best purchase I’ve made for my 9 week old kitten. It’s large enough to sit both my large hooded litter tray and three food/water bowls on top. The texture of the mat stops his jelly wet food from being ground into it and allows it to remain on the spring top and dry out so it can be very easily cleaned. The grooves within the mat has stopped him from tracking the food into my carpet. If I had a room just for my kitten I would have probably carpeted the entire floor with these mats but thankfully it’s been saving my carpetEdit: we’re a month into it’s use and I’ve switched my five star rating into...well i think it may be better if i look for a new mat, or as one user said, a large flat tray. Earlier i commented on its uses as a mat with food on top but my rating has changed due to its used as a litter mat.Two weeks into owning my kitten we switched up litter brands, a better clumping litter but one that tracks. The mat does nothing to stop the tracking on to my carpet. This was a relatively non issue, i bought a mini handheld vacuum that i leave next to the mat and hoover up whenever i see the tracking. The woven material of the mat sometimes traps these litter particles but that’s okay, nothing my dyson can’t hoover up.The biggest issue was earlier this morning, i left the room at quarter to seven with kitty waiting outside the bathroom for me, came out at seven to find him still there but on entering my room I see he has managed to smear a chunk of poo on to the mat. I dont know if the woven material helped scrape efficiently because there was no poo on my actual carpeting or on his bum and paws when i baby wiped him but the smushed poo on the mat is hard to clean. I cleaned off all the relatively solid bits and then used a disinfectant wipe on the rest and then scrubbed it down with my dr beckmanns pet carpet cleaner, as it has bristles that would hopefully get into the mat and touch the base. I returned to amazon to see the cleaning instructions for the mat, only to see that it can’t be machine washed. Great. A litter mat that would undoubtedly get some pee and poo on it, even if not to the level i just had, that can’t be machine washed. I’ve been spot cleaning it thoroughly for the last month but even if he hadnt pooed all over it and into it today, i would have wanted to give it a good wash for hygiene reasons once a month but i guess not???

Amazon good, idea flawed
The Amazon quality and delivery for this mat is fine, so no reflection on them as a seller. However, the whole idea for this (and any other similar) mat I feel is flawed. We bought it for our old cat as he was missing the litter tray or ended up in a complete mess using the tray. So we bought the mat to put the tray on. He then stated using the mat instead. Great, what's the problem with that? You end up with this open woven type mat full of pee you then need to soak up with kitchen towel because it's impossible to pick up without pee going everywhere. Pee also goes underneath the mat when it overflows. Any sloppy number twos go into the fibre of the mat, so then you're outside in the dark, trying to hose and jet wash off this cat mat, disinfect and dry it for next use. Maybe we're missing something, but sorry, for us it ended up in the bin and we bought a larger sort of plant tray thing and stuck with wood pellet cat litter.

Wonder mat.
Amazing product that has changed my life. I have two Devon Rex house cats that will only do their business in lightweight cat litter, the little darlings. I also have mostly tiled flooring on the downstairs level of my house meaning that the lovely used cat litter was travelling everywhere. I even found it as high up as the loft conversion. Thanks to this mat 99% of it is confined to the mat, cats are clever you see and will always find a way to cause havoc, but me and my vacuum are enjoying house cleaning semi-retirement. Some people have complained about creases in the mat from delivery. I personally haven’t had this problem it did come folded but it was unpacked quickly on receipt and the creases had disappeared within a couple of days.

Shipped folded and then cant be flattened
Amazon very stupidly fold this item to ship it. I bought this Matt as i only have space for a very thin Matt by the front door but because they have stored and shipped it foldeded the creases dont come out and the door catches. Why anyone would store and ship and item like this is beyond me but the Matt doesn’t flatted out so is pretty much not fit for purpose

Feels strong
Feels strong unlike what ive had in the past. It does come folded so hopefully in time it will flatten out. Arrived early.Only criticism would be i would have preferred it to have been rolled
