3 Secrets is a Good Start
Public Speaking is a huge topic, and Arlen Busenitz does his best in "How to Overcome Public Speaking Fear" to whittle it down to its core. He offers sound ideas and advice, but even he can't resist going beyond '3 Secrets', as he adds several pages of bonus material at the end of the book. If you're brand new to speaking, and have just a few days, hours, or even minutes before your talk, this book will do a good job of prepping you for your audience. Similarly to his book "Conversation Magic", it makes a great airplane read, and can be easily stuffed in your folder or laptop bag for quick reference. I'm willing to bet, however, that Mr. Busenitz himself knows there's hundreds of more pages he has yet to offer for a full manual on public speaking.

Not worth it!
This book was overly simplistic and repetitive. Chapter 2 and 3 were almost identical. And there were spelling and grammar errors. Absolutely unacceptable.Don't waste your money. There are plenty of other solid, helpful resources on public speaking. I had hoped for a short, sweet manual that might provide some useful gems to use in an upcoming training. I was quite disappointed.

Simple guide to a common problem
How to Overcome Speaking Fear by Arlen Busenitz is an easy to read, easy to understand, and easy to apply guide for the reluctant public speaker. Public speaking can be a terrifying prospect to many people and Arlen tackles this fear head on. His three steps are great for the reducing the inevitable butterflies that come when standing in front of a crowd. Public speaking is an art that is improved with practice, but not all of us get much practice and this guide gives great advice for people who are new to speaking in front of others. For me, I really enjoyed the practical tips in the bonus section of the book including how to prepare powerful speeches and the greatest public speaking secret. Thanks for a simple and easy guide to this common issue of fear that we all face!~Kristi Burchfiel, Author of Without Regrets: A Study of Ecclesiastes

excellent resource
How to Overcome Public Speaking Fear is an excellent resource. The tips on confidence and conquering nervousness stick with me even when it's not a public speaking experience. Arlen Busenitz knows what he's talking about and has a knack of sharing his skill with others.
