Beefy upgrade... break in is important!
Way beefier carrier than stock, absolutely huge side gears and spiders, very tight clutches with just a little chatter around corners after break in. And make sure you do follow the 500 mile break in routine and change the oil (do NOT use synthetics) and the double dose of additive as instructed. The special clutch material in these wears in a LOT during the break in period and these tiny particles, and heat, trash the gear lube (and you want that abrasive stuff out of there to prevent lapping the ring & pinion over time). My oil went from honey colored to a greenish murk in 500 miles and clutch chatter was noticeably increasing. Changed the lube and friction modifier per the instructions, and it's all good. Rock solid, top quality unit.

Holds up
This thing is awesome, that’s all I have to say, I have a 2001 Tahoe with a 6 inch lift on 35s and 3.73s. I’ve gone through three rearends, I kept blowing em apart. This has now been in the truck for almost 2 years. It takes everything I can throw at it.. and then some.

A nice option to add some traction
I just put this in a Chevy G20 van to add some additional winter and off road traction. After reading quite a few reviews this seemed like a great option as a balance between on road driveability and off road performance. I also decided to re-gear the axle at the same time to provide a little more towing power. The setup and install was pretty easy but you will need access to a press to install the bearings. Also make sure you have a good 5/16" socket or closed end wrench to remove the bolt holding the carrier pin in place. I did not and almost rounded the bolt head off as there is Loctite on this bolt from the factory. I am still breaking the new ring and pinion in but thus far the traction from this thing is great. Also super quiet operation but make sure you add the Friction Modifier Positraction Additive for Limited Slip Differentials and from what I've read change the gear oil after 500 miles.

Works Fantastic
Installed in the rear of a 94 Chevy Blazer 4x4. works just like it says. breaking it in definitely has your tires chirping a little around tight turns but other than that this thing is great. getting on the throttle makes both wheels lock up which is exactly what I wanted. You will need the bearing and race kit and shim kit. don't forget the Yukon diff oil additive otherwise the warranty will not apply if you break it.

Great direct replacement.
Installed in my 2003 Silverado Z71 1500 as a direct replacement of the original limited slip differential. You'll need to order new races and bearing and shim kit. And the Yukon friction modifier.I did my own install. It is simple but has to be right so study up if you're doing it yourself. My factory shims were too tight so I had to use shims from the kit to get my backlash adjusted correct.I've had it installed and in use for a week now and I am happy with it. Truck is running great, feels solid and no more clunk when I put it in gear! I'll change the gear oil at 500 miles. Time will tell now.Update: several thousand miles on the rear end now and has been solid. I changed the gear oul at 500 mile break in and will change every 20k miles now. Running great

Very Nice Limited Slip Differential But Yukon's Customer Support Sucks!
I have a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado that has a little over 400,000 miles on it and the rear end had started making some bad failing bearing noises. I decided that i needed to have it rebuilt and called the local Chevrolet Dealership to get a quote on having it rebuilt. They quoted me $2400.00 minimum, they said depending on what they found so i decided i would attempt it myself because i could buy all new bearings, carrier group, ring and pinion, seals, gear lube and all the tools i needed to do it for less than $2400.00 and that's what i did. This Dura Grip differential seems to be made very well and so far i am satisfied with it but my only complaint is with Yukon's customer support. I called 2 times to ask a question and the first time i was on hold for 49 minutes and ended up leaving a call back message which was never returned. The next day i called back and was on hold for an hour and 35 minutes before i gave up and left a call back message and it was never returned. Yukon needs to get better on their customer service!

Very nice especially for the money.
I tow with this all the time in my S-10. Definitely made a difference in get up and go compared to my old open differential. Very nice product. Highly recommend it. Took less than 5 days to get here, when it said it would take 2 weeks! Very impressed with the quality work.

It is to bad that G
It is to bad that G.M does not use this in their differentials. as this Yukon Duragrip is by far way better that what G.M offers in the truck line. I have set up three of these Duragrip differentials and I am Very Happy with this product I highly recommend Yukon for any upgrade

Overall great, might need to go on a bearing search
If your planning on putting this carrier in a earlier model chevy truck ( a 97 for me ), the stock 10bolt carrier bearings are too small the ID is different. I like how yukon made a thicker carrier but would of been nice to know that you need the earlier model carrier bearings that will fit, lucky I have a good gear centre where I live, and they had the right bearings for my application, they use a 99+ bearing witch was bigger.

Works excellent - 2005 TJ sport
Installed in a 2005 TJ Sport with a Dana 44, 30 spline axles and 3:73 gears. Had a spartan locker in the rear but removed it because it was too aggressive on pavement (but great on trails). Installed this limited slip and the jeep still performs excellent off road but drives far more comfortably on road. Highly recommend. Does not come with bearings so that’s an added cost. Use 80-90 limited slip gear oil and an additive for best results.
