Fun durable little RC buggy!
I studied this little guy awhile before actually putting it 'on the road'. All of the front end linkages seemed loose to me. But, I learned that this keeps things from being damaged by too much friction or hard impacts. The whole canopy and roll frame come off with the four latch pins. Under the hood, everything is well laid out, solid construction, well protected motors, gear box and wiring. the servo motor for the steering has protection from over torquing. The drive motor is very responsive to the controls. The control range is very good. The battery life is a good 15 minutes. It comes with two batteries. High speed is about 10mph. It doesn't do well in the grass. But it's great for parking lots, sidewalks, anywhere you can find a hard flat surface. The canopy is well finished with a nice paint job and even a driver. Good purchase. Five stars.

Great for young kids (and adults too)
Picked this up as a gift for my husband and kids and it was definitely a big hit. Super fun for my kids (age 4 and 6) to play with, and my husband was having a great time with it as well. It's quite a bit bigger than I expected, although it was also light weight which I like (so the kids can easily pick it up if needed). Has a great look; the kids love the little "driver" (really just a helmet, but they liked it). It was very easy for the kids to learn to drive quickly, and they were driving solo almost instantly. We use it in the house (on the hardwood) and also have a great time with it outside on the street. I prefer it for outdoor use, as It goes very fast and I didn't want the kids crashing into the walls. So far, the battery seems to last for 20+ minutes (and it comes with a spare battery). Very happy with this fun race car!

Good RC car
I have couple of other RC cars which we bought for gifts, I wanted one for myself as a hobby. This one was within my budget and affordable. It has good speed and rides well indoors and outdoors. Happy with the purchase

Good size radio controlled car
I bought this for my 13 year old grandson when I found out he was enjoying another radio controlled car I had given to his little brother. He was thrilled. This one is a good size, and very fun for a good price. There's a good reason it is a best seller. I got free shipping to top it off and it was delivered right away. Excellent product and service. I am very happy with the purchase and will buy more for other grand-kids.

Great value!
This is a great little r/c car.It claims to be "hobby grade" rather than a toy, and it almost makes the grade. I don't think it deserves 5 stars because it doesn't live up to that claim. That said, I think it's a fantastic value at the $50 price point (and it's frequently under that). It's a great car for an older child who wants to move up from the 27Mhz toys, but doesn't want to spend $200 on something that's found to break the first time you crash it.It *almost* makes the grade as a "hobby grade" car. Why? Everything is accessible. I haven't looked into replacement parts (a key requirement for "hobby grade"), but everything comes apart: frame, body, tires are all pretty easily disassembled. This means it should be possible to replace anything that dies break. At the price point it's currently selling at (under $50 as I write this) it might be cheaper to replace the whole thing than try to replace parts, but the fact that you can easily tear it down is nice, and definitely sets it apart from "toy grade" models. The shocks are fully functional, and have decent travel. The front suspension is fully independent, while the rear suspension is solid axle. Because the rear suspension isn't independent, travel is limited: the wheels bump into the frame long before the spring reaches the travel limit. If the suspension was independent, it would clear the frame.I was slightly disappointed that steering is an all-or-nothing proposition. I'd expect a hobby grade car to have proportional steering. In the end, though, it shouldn't be a deal breaker at this price. Just something to be aware of. It didnt severely affect maneuverability in my testing. You definitely want to read the instructions. The aren't great (typical of Chinese instructions, unfortunately), but I discovered that there *is* a charging indicator light. You just can't see it until it turns on, because the LED is inside the body, rather than exposed like you probably expect. The remote control is well proportioned, and I didn't have any problems with the layout. I'm used to planes and helicopters, which have two sticks instead of the "wheel and trigger" design, so I get a bit turned around sometimes with steering, but I freely admit that's "operator error" rather than any design flaw. Most hobby ground RC transmitters use the same control style. However, the controller again falls short of the "hobby grade" standard: hobby grade equipment in the 2.4 GHz band generally allows you to replace the transmitter, or borrow someone else's. This unit does not appear to have any "pairing" mode to train the car and/ or transmitter to each other (if there is, it's not specified in the instructions). This also raises concerns about operating multiple vehicles at three same time. I only bought one, so I can't test that, but it's something to be aware of if you want to have multiples of this to race.Overall again, for the price, I think you won't be disappointed with this. I've had quite a bit of fun with mine, and again, at the price, toy don't have worry about smashing into something or running through a puddle. I'd buy it again on a heartbeat.

Living my childhood dream!
Right off the start, I'm going to come out and say that I'm an adult. I bought this RC car for myself and I love it! I don't care if this is made for kids or what. I'm having so much fun playing with is. I didn't grow up in a rich family and I never had the luxury to buy an RC car when they were all the craze in school. I think they used to be more than $300 easily.Compared to what they used to cost, this is a steal. I really wanted one, and I'm so happy to have bought this one. It comes with two batteries. The charging instruction is a bit intimidating at first, but it's pretty easy with the USB cable. I played with in inside the house letting it climbing up couches and blankets. It can pretty much climb anything. The control works well and it's pretty responsive. You sort of have to use both hands to control directions, but I got the hang of it pretty quickly. It's been raining and wet outside so I haven't taken it outside yet, but as soon as the weather clears up I'll be out in the park playing with this. lol
