24" 6 Individually Switched Outlet Metal Power Strip, 2069MBL

This is a very sturdy industrial grade power bar. It has three important features for my use. First, the outlets are oriented vertically when the bar is horizontal. Second, the outlets are individually switched. And lastly, for my installation having the cord come out the right side was very convenient. This was the only bar I found that satisfied all these requirements.If the manufacturer had made a 36" version with more outlets I would have bought that instead as my instinct is to overdo things. But this 6 outlet bar will work fine. I believe there is also a non surge version of this bar. Surge was not an important feature for my use but the non-surge version was not readily available at the time I purchased.The cord on this is way longer than I need. I had intended to open it up and see about shortening the cord. But it uses tamper resistant triangle bit screws so I was not able to open it at this time and will make due with the longer cord.Only 5 of the six outlets are individually switched for some reason. I would have liked some indication on the bar as to which switch controls which outlet so that someone unfamiliar with it could use it without guessing. FYI, It is the right most outlet that is not individually switched. I labeled them myself.There is definaly room for improvement here. But since it is literally the only thing I could find to meet my needs I give it a full five stars.

I just received the bar today, the mounting clips are not in the package and the plug is not a flat plug. I wanted the flat plug so it does not stick out. I am using it in my shop and this will not be handy because of where I need to plug it in. Not too happy with this product as it is not what I ordered.

Very practical. Very useful.
