Excellent Ice Cream!!!
I've already made three of the recipes: Roasted Banana, Mocha Almond Fudge and Chocolate. Both the Mocha Almond Fudge and the chocolate are outstanding. A teenager commented that the chocolate ice cream was better than store bought and his brother told me that he never gives compliments that easily, so that's saying a lot!!! I really love this book! I plan to try making most of the recipes because they all look good.

Elegant ideas...
This book has a lot of really good recipes...and ideas for recipes...My geographical location keeps from from being able to find help milk...or raw cashews to make cashew milk...and I'm hypoglycemic therefore unable to use Stevia as it is called for in a few recipes (because it lowers my blood sugar something fierce) so I have not yet made a recipe as it is stated in the book.BUT the addition of Guar Gum was GENIUS! Turns my coconut milk with honey and fruit into something CREAMY... BRILLIANT! There are also some really great recipe ideas that I can do with just coconut milk and still churn out a great tasting ice cream!!!Again...I don't know (yet) how delicious the cashew milk ice cream can be ~ I've read on several websites that it's just lovely...and pretty easy to make ~ so I'm unable to rate the book on exact recipes...but the ideas are wonderful!

Yum!
I'm vegan and I have been looking for a good ice cream book for years... this is it!Very simple and super easy recipes.They are all made with coconut milk or/and cashew milk that I make myself.If you don't like the coconut taste I will still recommend you the book because you can't really taste it, the chocolate icecream is really yummy but the rhubarb and strawberry ice cream is to die for!I've made a few and they taste SO good!Mrs Brozyna, THANK YOU!!!

Perfect for Dairy Free Individuals
This recipe book is awesome! My husband is dairy free and I am most of the time when it come to ice cream because I don't like eating it by myself, so when I saw this book, I thought I would give it a try. The added bonus for us is that all the recipes start with a base of coconut milk, which we love. Everything I have made from this book has been absolutely amazing and I have yet to receive a negative comment from any of our friends. I would highly recommend this book for anyone looking to make some nice ice cream with no dairy and all natural flavorings.

It's worth every penny!
I am so excited about this book! I made two recipes out of it this last weekend - Roasted Banana and Rocky Road. WOW! So easy to follow and very fun flavors. I love that she gave options for thickeners.Here's the reasons it's worth $20:-This book is specifically for those seeking dairy free, refined sugar free, grain free, and/or vegan ice cream alternatives. I don't have the time or patience to develop even 5 recipes that meet these criteria AND taste as wonderful as these recipes do. I'm a busy woman. Give me the recipe and I can go with it.-Since these recipes cater to special dietary needs, it calls for ingredients that a) can be expensive b) are not necessarily used in everyday cooking. For these reasons, I'd much rather spend $20 on recipes that I know have been tested with these ingredients by someone who has experience using them than spend a small fortune trying to come up with a recipe that makes the cut. Kelly has done all of the hard work for us here!Once cherries are in season here, I'm going to make the bing cherry ice cream. Can't Wait!

Our family just finished GAPS intro and we bought this as a means to make GAPS legal ice cream. The author gives a variety of ways to thicken the ice cream including gelatin, which is what we used. I have made both vanilla and mint chip and both came out as delicious as the Larry and Luna's Organic coconut ice cream from the store. Our next attempt will be homemade rocky road ice cream with GAPS legal marshmallows.

OMG - the cookie dough ice cream recipes are SO DELICIOUS!!!! Love Spunky Coconut, and this book is no exception.I have a dairy allergy, so this book is amazing.

Since I was a newbie at making my own Vegan ice cream treats I didn't know what I was really looking for. I am totally delighted with this book. Easy to follow directions, yummy results & not difficult ingredients to find. I bought two books at the same time & have only used this one so far... The other book way to complicated to start with & expensive ingredients. So this book is a winner in our home! Tried a # and all great results.

Rezension: the spunky coconut dairy free ice cream cookbookIch komme mit dem amerikanischen Cup System sehr gut klar (finde es einfacher als unser System) und habe schon einige Rezepte ausprobiert. Da milchfreie Eiscreme Rezepte eher selten zu finden sind, bin ich froh das sich die Autorin die Arbeit gemacht hat Ihre Kreationen mit mir/uns zu teilen.Für mich ist das Buch eine tolle Abwechslung zu herkömmlichen Eiscreme Sorten...und jetzt weiß ich auch endlich wie man Nüsse richtig röstet, damit sie dann in der Eiscreme perfekt schmecken. Man schwenk sie nach dem rösten einfach in etwas Fett mit einer winzigen Prise Salz und stellt sie zum Abkühlen in den Kühlschrank bevor sie in die Eiscreme kommen.
