Great Condition for Used Book
I received this book at the time it was promised which didn’t take long. The book was described as “used” as it originally was published in 1995. The condition is excellent and this hardcover book looks new. I just started reading it and it’s wonderful so far. I’m a big fan of the author, Fran Drescher, especially of her TV show, The Nanny, so I’m sure I’ll enjoy the entire book. And I appreciate that it has lots of photos.

Fabulous!
I've always liked Fran Drescher a lot; she's naturally funny and larger-than life. This audio book memoir, read by the author herself, plays like a great stand-up comedy routine. Written in 1995, at the height of her show's success, it's a chatty, friendly, and hilarious autobiography with a gag in just about every sentence. With her irrepressible voice, Fran takes obvious delight in describing her humble Queens roots, her marriage, her early days in show biz, and the unbelievable coincidence that led to "The Nanny" becoming a reality. While she talks about television executives and her production crew in detail, there isn't a word about Charles Shaughnessy or her other TV co-stars. This was disappointing, but I still loved every minute of it and will certainly play it again just to enjoy her exuberant personality and wit.Though Fran has endured tragedy in her life, there is nothing mentioned in the audio book about the sad times, only the good times and there have been many. I highly recommend this audio book to Fran's fans.

Amazing
One of the best books I’ve read in awhile it’s so well written and so detailed I’m so happy she was able to write such a wonderful book about her early life. I would also recommend cancer Schmancer by Fran Drescher that is a wonderful well written book also.

Fran Drescher is the Best
First off the book was in excellent condition and I recieved it very quickly. The book it's self was wonderful, it tells you all about Fran Drescher making it in hollywood and what it took to get there. She kept me so entertained I couldn't book the book down and finished in one day and that's really fast considering I have 3 boys to take care of all day. Any available second I got I was reading it. I was sad when I finished it, so I started her 2nd book called Cancer Schmancer the next day. I would recommend this book to all my friends and have already started passing it around to family members and they loved it too.

I enjoyed it.
I enjoyed this book. I'm a huge fan of The Nanny (not as much as I love The Golden Girls or I Love Lucy though); I love that she's from Flushing, Queens because that's my hometown too. This book was written as her first memoir, I read it after I read her second one (the one that covers her cancer survival and aftermath of The Nanny series); I like this memoir... I compared the too. She wrote this during her heyday of finally making it big on the TV screen instead of the "big screen". I enjoyed it because I love reading memoirs, so this was interesting to me.
