Genzyme OSOM Card Pregnancy Test 25/Box

So I received these when I was still on my period and figured I would try one when it was over so I knew what the evaporation lines looked like so I wasn't misinterpreting evaps for positives when I stated testing this cycle. I am only on CD 11 right now and took two yesterday (I have not ovulated and don't until CD 16) and i would have interpreted these two tests as positives had I waited and tested after ovulation. The evap lines did not pop up until about 10 minutes but they were definitely there and very noticeable. The instructions do say not to read lines after 3 minutes and there was nothing there at three minutes. Just wanted to caution about the evap lines don't read after 3 minutes or there is a good chance u will see something you may misinterpret. I love that they are black dye tests though but the evap lines are definitely darker on these than any other test I have used and I have used most brands!

I got these because I read rave reviews on other sites. I have been trying for almost 15 months after the devastating loss of my 5 year old son. I guess i believed that these were some miracle test that would show up at 7 or 8 days past ovulation. My bad!!! Rarely ever happens with any test. Anyway...I tested at 7 and 8 days past ovulation with these tests. Nothing! No biggie! It made me wait till 12 days past ovulation because I was tired of seeing negatives. 12 days past ovulation....I tested with First Response. It had a decent line . I tested with Clearblue Digital...it said 1-2 weeks pregnant. I tested with OSOM. Nothing but the very faintest of lines 30 minutes later. I'm 15 days past ovulation now. The First Response lines are pretty much the same. Clearblue Easy says 2-3 weeks. OSOM still a faint faint line.

I read Great things about this test and am about to do IVF so I had to have a box ready to go before. I ordered them and they came supper fast(love that) My transfer is Jan 9 and I will update how well they worked for me after.Fingers crossed I get a BFP and early too=)I am not coming back with good news, we had our transfer and like planed I started testing early a bit too early just for the hell of it since I had so many test & noticed vary bad evaporated lines right away. I used all 25 test and EVERY SINGLE ONE came back with some degree of a evaporated line. I can not tell you how upset I am over this, this was a totally rip off and I will never be buying them again. Some of the lines where so dark had me thinking I got my BPF but no what a let down.MY Beta was 0 so no way this test was picking up anything as my transfer never worked=(I can see one or two in a pack having a evaporated line but really come on all 25 what the F@#$

I have been using these for a few months while trying to conceive. I got a clear positive 10 dpo when I got pregnant. I think that I could have seen a line a few days earlier, but day 10 was my first POAS. I also used them following my miscarriage to track hcg levels and this test showed positive with an hcg blood level of 7- pretty impressive! I only gave it 4 stars because it does have an evap line frequently. However, now that I have seen a true positive I don't think I could be fooled by the evap line again.

I never write reviews but I felt I had to give those considering these tests a warning.The last time I bought these OSOM tests they were the best. I didn't experience any evaps and they gave me a positive at only 7DPO and they got progressively darker each day. Very early on they took a long time for the 2nd line to show up (had to wait till they were almost dry).This time I thought I was getting positives only they would get slighter darker then lighter. I had my levels check twice (both times <1) and I was not pregnant. Out of the box of 25, 14 were false positives/evaps. Some of the lines weren't that faint either. It was heartbreaking and extremely frustrating.The whole reason I bought these test was due to evaps and false positives being very rare and to have 14 out of a box of 25 show a second line when you're not pregnant is unacceptable.You may get lucky and get a good lot like I did the first time. Who knows.Needless to say, I will not be going back for more punishment with these tests.

LOVE these tests!! They detected my pregnancy at 8dpo. Yeah. Not exaggerating. The line came up after the time limit so I didn't count it as a real result. The next morning (9dpo) I tested again and the line popped up nice and dark within the time limit. Hallelujah! I'll have bloodwork this weekend to find out my beta, but I'm positive it's extremely low since it's incredibly early!OSOMs do get evaps on occasion; don't think they're totally evap-free. But, it's easier to tell evaps from the real thing once you've seen it. (I know, that doesn't help you first-timers any...)Evaps never get darker. Never. They're barely there, and you have to squint and wonder if you're actually seeing them.A real BFP is the one your spouse, baby daddy, or best friend can see without going "What line?"Good luck to you all!

Out of my box of 25, the majority had bad evaps or dye runs. I knew they weren't true bfps because the lines didn't darken over time and I clearly wasn't pregnant. I bought these despite their expense because so many women online loved the brand. I was less than impressed and will go back to my cheap strips.

I got a positive 7DPO with these! Very faint, but it was definitely there. Be warned, the super early results will not show up in the time allotted-my positive showed up about 30min after timing began. A week later when my HCG was in the 800's it still took almost 10-15 min to show positive. The black dye used in these tests do not make it effective for monitoring progression. No false positives/evaps with these tests, so if you get a line rest assured it's a BFP even if way after the time has elapsed. And the price is AWESOME, way cheaper than hitting the local drug store for pricey ones.
