Exact fit for 2006 Doge Ram 1500 Quad Cab 2WD
Common failure for this assembly is the upper ball joint. Replacement ball joints are available, but why waste money, time, and special tools, when you can replace the entire upper assembly on both sides in an hour including jacking and securing the vehicle.Removal and installation is straightforward and pretty low on the difficulty scale. Simply raise and secure the vehicle. Remove front tires. I support the lower control arm with a block or jack. Loosen upper ball joint castle nut (do not remove completely). Place ball joint fork (pickle fork) between ball joint and spindle. Strike end of pickle fork using ball pein hammer (I use a 32oz) until ball joint pops loose. Now remove and discard castle nut. Remove front and rear bushing bolts (although not required, this is easier with the wheel liner removed). Remove control arm. Compare old arm against new to ensure the correct side, then reinstall in reverse order. Be certain to follow all torque requirements. Note: To prevent bushing preload, place full weight on the suspension before tightening the two control arm bushing bolts.Moog ball joint include grease fittings for long life. Quality is on par with OEM design and is an exact fit.I hope this helps.

great product/ UPDATED may 29th, 2017
shipped right to my door. installed perfect, fit perfectly. heavy duty like the OEM control arms. just remember when the part says LEFT upper or RIGHT upper...it's not you standing in front of the vehicle looking at the truck...it's you standing in front of the vehicle looking away from the vehicle. that's the correct RIGHT or LEFT. or imagine your sitting in the driver seat. anyways great product..also make sure you support the lower control arms when removing and installing the new upper controls. UPDATE after 2 months...... one of the things we noticed when putting on the control arms was the ball joint was lifted up on one side. But we figured that was the design. We take it in for an alignment and even the technicians at Les Schwab were wondering the same thing we were if it was normal. They said there was no movement in them so they did the alignment and everything checked out okay. The steering wheel still wasn't quite straight so we took it back about 2 weeks later and they tried adjusting it more but they were unable to due to the ball joints. They just happen to have some Moog upper control arms and they said the ones on the truck are defective. The ball joint should be completely flush and should not be bent up the way it is. So we got another set of upper control arms installed on the truck and the ones that moog sent us are now junk.. I still think very highly and positive of Moog because I have bought a lot of Moog suspension parts and none of them have been defective. So why these ones are defective I have no clue. But we are unable to return them because it's been 2 months. but one thing to make sure when you receive these in the mail is make sure the ball joint is completely flush with the control arm. If not, immediately return.

My truck rides 100% better..
Just replaced my oem upper control arms on my 2007 2WD Dodge Ram. My truck had 140,000 miles and it was time to changed them. Removing the old ones and putting these are were simple. 1. Raise the truck with the jack under the lower control arm. 2. Apply jack stands for safety. 3. Remove the castle nut that attached the control arm to the steering knuckle. 4. Remove both upper control arm bolts. 5. Smack the steering knuckle at the upper ball joint to pop it out. 6. Remove control arm and install new one. Remember to tighten the upper control arm bolts when the control arm is parallel to the ground....do not tighten them with the upper control arm in the down position. My truck rides 100% better.....better steering control.......quite ride. Cannot go wrong with Moog....the CK series. Oh...do not forget to install grease zerk and inject with grease.

Excellent replacement control arm
I bought these for a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 QC. (I bought both sides and my experience is the same for both) They are an exact match for the original in fit and function. I am totally impressed with these and they are nearly identical to the original ones that I removed from my truck. In my opinion they're even better than the originals because they have MOOG bushings and a greasable ball joint. For the price, I don't think it's even worth messing around replacing only the ball joint. By the time you press out the old one and press in the new one, you could have replace the entire piece. I literally had each side replaced in less than 30 minutes per side using only hand tools, that includes taking the wheel off. They are very nice pieces and I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again. I had the front end aligned after installation and there were no issues. Also, the box says MADE IN THE USA!

I like that everything from moog is greasable
Everything bolted right up to my 2007 dodge ram 1500. I had an upper ball joint break which took out a cv axle, strut and tire. I went ahead and replaced cv axles, struts, tire, tie rod ends , sway bar links, control arms and all ball joints. Was going to just replace upper ball joint but the jerks at oreillys sold me an upper ball joint for a 2500. It pressed in but ruined my control arm. It is way easier to just replace control arms then try to press out the upper ball joint and then press in the new ones. Do yourself a favor and just pony up the extra money up front. Tie rod ends, sway bar links and ball joints were moog. I like that everything from moog is greasable.

Worst control arms
Broke off when I made a right turn. Good thing it didn't break when I was going down the highway. Didn't even last a month. I got a replacement and that one broke too. Worst control arms ever in my opinion.
