Red Sands

This was a hard movie to find and for a good deal, but I finally found it here. Great addition to my collection.

I thought that the movie was really good.shane west was good in the movie. I wish that my fae actor callum blue had survived the movie but other than that it was a great movie.

When I first heard this was a film by director Dead Birds, I knew I had to check out this movie. It arrived quicker then I thought and quickly popped it in the player.The film starts with one of the dumbest camera tricks in modern horror cinema; you see someone and then other things rapidly flash before your eyes. I cannot think of the name of it, never have, if anyone can name it for me i'd appericate it. I'm not a big fan on war films but I will admit the director did a helluva good job shooting this picture. He could have easily drop the horror elements and made a war film. The movie is slowly paced like Dead Birds but unlike Birds, it really never pays off. I enjoyed the visuals of the movie but it was slow paced and I never got into the film that much.Overall, for a straight to dvd film this is professionally done. I wouldnt say this film was a total waste of time but wasn't what I was hoping for.

I suggest anyone considering this movie, to really think about it first. I bought this thinking it would be super great due to the description. It is the worst movie I have ever watched. I have thrown it in the garbage. Don't waste any money on this movie.

really good show, if you like the djinn.......worth buying. good story, the djinn are renouned for using an item, that can be used for their own purpose, such as a place to observe from. throughout history they have always; most been connected to rings. but in this story it is a statue. but once the statue is demolished......"then things start to happen."

EXCELLENT

To be honest I bought this because I'm a fan of Shane West, he doesn't disapoint in this and gives a strong performance along with the rest of the cast who seem a young bunch capable of making a name for themselves. As for the film it's not as scary as the trailer sugests and you seem consintly to be waiting of scares that just don't come and the ending can be seen a mile of. If you like any of the actors give it a chance if not there are better horrors out there

SAW THIS ON TV AND FANCIED HAVING IT AS YES, SHANE WEST IS PRETTY GOOD AS A SOLDIER IN COMBAT AND HE'S ONE OF THE MORE 'MATURE SENSIBLE SOLDIERS.' YOU ALWAYS GET THE STUPID IDIOTIC 16 YEAR OLDS WHO CLAIM TO KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT SEX. THIS IS MEANT TO BE A HORROR FILM WHICH IT IS AND THE PLOT IS SIMLIAR TO 'LONG TIME DEAD' WHICH ALSO RELEASE A DJINN THAT WRECKS AMOK IN THE GROUP.LEONARD ROBERTS IS GOOD AS THE LEADER AND TURNS BAD (STARRED IN BUFFY VAMPIRE SLAYER SEASON 4) AND THEN (HEROES) SO THIS IS QUITE GOOD TO SEE HIM DO SOMETHING NORMAL.THE DJINN IS SCARY IN ITSELF TAKING FORM OF THE DEAD SOLDIERS AS THEY END UP KILLING EACH OTHER AND ONLY THE STRONGEST SURVIVE. OR TO BE TAKEN OVER BY THE DJINN AT THE END.IF YOU IGNORE THE SILLY SEX TALK (PRESS THE SKIP BUTTON) AT THE BEGINNING IT'S A PRETTY GOOD HORROR 'WAR' FILM AND CAN LEAVE YOU CHILLED AT THE END.
