Douglas Cuddle Toys Purple Monarch Wings (50600)

I used these as last minute Halloween costume and they were a hit. While the shoulder straps attached to them are very much child sized, I sewed on some black ribbon at the end with a loop so I could still "spread my wings" without a problem. To secure them a little bit more, I safety pinned them to my top and was good to go.They're lightweight, and if you like dancing and moving around, they're perfect. I ordered the purple wings and the color and detailing was fantastic. I got many compliments to all the parties I wore them to, and didn't have any issues at all.

Super small! Package says children and dolls. These wings are for very small/young children, not adults of any size. Too small for what I was looking to use them for. I might suggest the average 5 year old is the oldest/largest who might be able to use these. They were beautiful though!!!

These wings exemplify perfectly executed simplicity. They are a soft fabric with a bright pattern screen-printed on. The fabric is airy, and the print goes all the way through so they look beautiful from both sides. Our girls love the flexible and flowing fabric (much better than the wings with wire backing) and wear them with any other outfit (from after school to princess dresses). The elastic fabric for shoulders and fingers is solid and seems much more durable than on typical dress-ups. I bought a pair at a store and immediately bought two more sets online after they were so well loved. They are well sized for kids from about 3 to 8.

When my age four son said he wanted to be a butterfly for Halloween, I found these online. They are awesome!! Great quality, comfortable, and just the right amount of translucency. When paired with an all-black outfit, it’s a fun costume that isn’t overly feminine. He’s on the smaller side for his age and the wings droop a little at his arms, but he’s still able to flap them well and “fly.” 100% recommend.

My little lady LOVES to dress up, but this didn't quiet work for her. The rings that attach to the hands are too big for her little fingers and too small for her wrists. I plan on sewing some wrist elastic on for her. This, hopefully, will work better for her when she's 5 or 6. Hopefully she still likes to dress up. The wings are very pretty and a nice quality.

These are a tremendous hit with our daughter. She is 7 and tall for her age and they fit just perfectly. They make dancing extra fun and are made with quality fabric and don't look like they will fall apart or tear like the "fairy wings" and "butterfly wings" we've bought before, which are usually less fluid and therefore have less capacity for creativity. They generally are made of gauzy fabric stretched over a wire frame. I much prefer this free-form style of wings and I look forward to buying a pair for my son as well.

For the price, this gets 5 stars. My 3 year old and my 5 year old both love wearing theirs. They have taken a lot of wear so far, and haven't shown any tear. I haven't washed them yet, so I can say how they'll do. The little kids can get these wings on and off, too, so the design is pretty great for small children.The colors on the fabric are a little less vibrant than I imagined they would be looking at the pictures online, but it's still adorable and really fun for my kids.

These are great. The 9 year old who received them put them on and off 20 times over the following days and played roughly in them for many hours and they took it all in stride! Still in good condition at end of vacation when I left her and them.
