Failed after 14mo.
See the pic. Upper was the one that failed last weekend. Replacement from Forman via my local parts store is also made in Taiwan (which is ok with me) but more robust design in the fulcrum.

It was black instead of chrome like the one we should have got!
The one we took off was crome but the one we got was all black. It was pretty easy to install but it was the wrong one for our truck. We went ahead and installed it anyways. Didn't want to go through the hassle of sending it back!
