There are quite a few different brands of Pineapple Corers available. Many are of a very similar design and may well come from the same factory in China before having a brand name added.The OITUGG comes nicely packaged and, unlike many of the corers, includes a detachable wedge cutter. Plus, it also comes with eight nice little fruit forks that were better quality than I was expecting for a ‘bonus freebie’.The box has illustrated instructions on it and the corer is very easy to assemble and use. However, it is best suited to small-medium sized pineapples with a relatively uniform shape.If you use the corer for larger pineapples you are likely to find that you miss out on the flesh around the outer edges, unless you then use a knife to carve it out, which rather takes away the point of using a corer in the first place.Equally if your pineapple is more egg-shaped, you are likely to find that you have peel around the top few slices, which you will need to cut off.There have been reports of some pineapple corers of this design breaking quite easily. The spot welds holding the cutting disk to the main shaft are quite small but should be strong enough, provided you keep the shaft vertical, don’t push too hard and keep turning as you push down. Also twist slightly counter-clockwise as you start to pull the cutter back upwards.Once you have pulled the corer out with the pineapple attached you take off the handle, turn upside down and tip the cut spiral of pineapple off.If you want to use the wedge cutter place it over the shaft once you have removed the handle and push down through the pineapple spiral.

The fixed diameter of the cutter means you can’t really use it with smaller pineapples, but with good sized ones this is a great bit of kit that makes cutting up a pineapple far easier than with a knife. Top and tail the fruit so that you are left with a fairly even cylinder of pineapple. Plus the cutter as centrally as possible at the top and press as you twist the cutter. It will cut all the way down to the bottom and will remove the entire core in one go without wasting any of the precious juicy flesh.Pull the entire cut section out and you’ve got a continuous coil of pineapple. Now you have two choices: for pineapple rings, just make a single cut all the way down one side of the coil and it will fall apart into perfect rings. For pineapple chunks, take the plastic cutter, place it on top of the coil (best to do this with the cutter still in position) and press evenly as it cuts from top to bottom giving you even sized chunks all the way.It’s simple and very effective and this is well made so doesn’t feel like it will break in use (some others definitely do!)

Great little gizmo.Being a big fan of pineapples, tend to eat for my diet. Thought it was finally time to help make it quicker to cut and clean my pineapples.The tool is easy to use, simple to understand and clean up is quick and painless.The plastic cuter is a bit too flimsy if you buy slightly riper pineapples and you’ll loose a lot of juice as a result of this. Rather it have been metal. But can’t complain as it’s just a small issue.A knife does do the job but it can be a long process, so this is a great tool. Helps cut and clean your pineapples with ease and like the addition of the little forks that do come with this

Does what it says on the box. Easy to use and did the job perfectly. Would recommend to all who like pineapple. Great price and quick delivery

Its a great invention i love the way it cuts through the pineapple, without leaving the brown holes in the fruit then using the cutter spiral all the way down and then use the slicer to cut into small cubes just like in the tins in supermarkets, quicker than trying to peel it i recommend it

Quite a sturdy tool, but only time will tell if the rivets hold. After a few attempts I managed to get the slicer to work effectively (more down to my ineptitude rather than any product defect) giving me a thinly sliced twirl of pineapple (I expect it would be thicker if I applied more pressure). It's not easy to keep the tool straight, but that would be the same for any such tool and I had to be careful as I managed to slice through the outer layer. I almost purchased one that came with a protective glove, but in the absence of juice dripping on me, I wouldn't then be able to tell if I had gone off centre. The 'chunk' tool was fairly useless and just squashed the slices as the plastic is not bevelled and the cutting edge is quite thick. The little forks are cute and good quality and I will use them a lot. Tool is quite challenging to clean as tiny pieces of pineapple get stuck in between the partially welded parts and I had to use my fingernail to get them all out, even after it had in the dishwasher.

Facile à utiliser mais manque de précisions au niveau de la stabilité et pour visé le coeur de l ananas. Du coup il deste quelques morceaux dures au Centre et quelque reste sur le côté

Se trata de un pelador de piña de acero inoxidable, de fácil manejo, tan solo cortar la parte de arriba de la piña, se inserta y a darle vueltas hasta el fondo de la misma. Sale perfecta y no se derrocha nada de la fruta.Se puede meter en el lavavajillas
